Heating in greenhouses requires fast, efficient, and reliable solutions, and Met Mann has installed hot air generators in a 15,000-square-meter greenhouse complex in Portugal that allow 92% of the heat generated to be used, reducing energy losses.

Met Mann has recently presented an installation of hot air generators at a 1.5 hectare (15,000 m²) greenhouse complex in Portugal. To guarantee ideal thermal conditions during the cold winter months, 8 Met Mann model MM-350-G hot air generators have been installed, equipped with propane gas burners and rotating nozzles, maximising the distribution of hot air across the surface area of the greenhouse.

The technical characteristics of the Model MM-350-G include a nominal power of 350 kW; a thermal efficiency of 92%; an air flow rate of 25,500 m³/h; an available static pressure of 120 Pa; a thermal rise of 34 °C; and an electrical power of 5.5 kW.

Greenhouse heating requires fast, efficient and reliable solutions. Met Mann hot air generators allow 92% of the heat generated to be used, reducing the kind of energy losses that blight other systems. "This makes our generators one of the most effective options for keeping crops protected from the cold temperatures of autumn and winter.”

Heating solutions

Met Mann offers a complete range of hot air generators from 43 kW to 500 kW, adapted to different needs and energy sources such as diesel, natural gas or LPG as well as models available for biomass pellets; and hand-loaded wood cookers for more traditional applications.
