The head of LG Spain’s HVAC division believes that the current climate situation calls for a radical change in the installations sector. “Simply reducing emissions or optimising processes is no longer enough. In line with our philosophy, we champion a strategy based on the durability of technology and decarbonisation.”

What are the latest trends in the installations sector?

At LG Spain, we recognise that the current climate situation calls for a radical change in the installations sector. Simply reducing emissions or optimising processes is no longer enough. That is why, in line with our philosophy, we champion a strategy based on the durability of technology and decarbonisation.

Our air conditioning and heating solutions clearly demonstrate our leadership as a supplier of advanced technologies focused on electrification, meeting the wide range of our customers’ needs whilst minimising our environmental impact.

What does all this actually involve?

At LG, we believe that the most durable product is the most sustainable. The prime example of this commitment in the air conditioning sector is our pioneering Lifetime Warranty on the compressor, the most critical component of air conditioning units. This is a disruptive measure designed to combat obsolescence and ensure that machines have the longest possible service life.

Furthermore, we also draw on key innovations such as our Dual Inverter technology. Thanks to its two compression chambers, this system not only optimises performance and drastically reduces noise, but also saves up to 70 % in energy compared with traditional units and cools 40 % faster. By operating more efficiently and with less mechanical wear and tear, this compressor significantly extends the service life of the air-conditioning system and ensures an optimal indoor climate with minimal environmental impact.

What are the main features of your product range?

Our product portfolio stands out for combining innovation, durability and sustainable design to boost energy efficiency, all of which far exceed European standards, and improve people’s lives in any setting.

In the residential sector, our state-of-the-art LG DUALCOOL™ AI Air air conditioner stands out: it achieves the top A+++ energy efficiency rating for both cooling and heating, and is capable of reducing energy consumption by up to 35 % thanks to artificial intelligence and management tools such as the kW Manager via the ThinQ app.

For heating and hot water needs, our Therma V R290 Monobloc air-source heat pump offers energy savings of up to 80 % compared with traditional systems.

For large-scale commercial projects, we offer advanced variable refrigerant flow systems from the Multi V range, designed to optimise thermal demand intelligently.

Furthermore, beyond the physical product itself, our offering is distinguished by a support service of the very highest standard. LG has cemented its position as the number one technical service provider in air conditioning, having been recognised by a recent independent study as the undisputed leader in customer service, problem-solving, delivery services and specialist support for both businesses and private individuals, ensuring prompt and reliable support throughout the entire life cycle of the equipment.

How do you see the future of air conditioning over the coming years?

Looking ahead to the coming years, we believe that the major challenge facing the air-conditioning sector will be to accelerate the transition towards more efficient, durable and decarbonised solutions, whilst ensuring they remain accessible to end users and viable for installers, developers and businesses.

But technological innovation alone is not enough. One of the major challenges facing the sector also lies in training and professionalising the entire value chain. For this reason, in Spain we train more than 1,600 professionals each year at the company’s four physical academies in Madrid, Barcelona, Alicante and Palma de Mallorca, as well as through the free digital platform, Academia de Aire.

Installation, maintenance and technical advice are becoming increasingly complex, which is why it is essential to support the channel with specialised training, technical support and tools that facilitate the correct specification of each solution.

At LG, we believe that the future of air conditioning lies in offering equipment that consumes less energy, lasts longer and is easier to manage throughout its entire life cycle. That is why our offering combines energy efficiency, connectivity, lower-impact refrigerants, a guarantee and specialist technical support. The aim is not simply to sell more advanced equipment, but to help the sector move towards a model that is more sustainable, profitable and better equipped to face the climate and energy challenges we are already experiencing.

What did LG’s participation in C&R 2025 mean for the company, and how has it helped them to grow their business?

The C&R 2025 trade fair was a strategic and highly significant meeting point for LG. For us, this event is not simply a commercial showcase, but the perfect opportunity to listen actively and directly to the sector’s needs, enabling us to align our new products with the market’s actual demands.

Furthermore, our participation in this latest edition helped us to significantly consolidate our leading position on the path towards decarbonisation and electrification. The exclusive launch of innovations that combine low-impact refrigerants with applied artificial intelligence, coupled with the announcement of our Lifetime Guarantee, was very well received.
