In February, IFEMA and the C&R Organising Committee held their first meeting where they set out the primary lines of action for the next edition of the International C&R Exhibition, which will be held during the Feria de Madrid from 16–19 November

C&R 2021 is organised as a strategic event to stimulate commercial activity, understand industry trends and, in particular, work towards a return to normality by facilitating personal contact between businesses and professionals. This all takes place at one of the major international benchmark events for the Air Conditioning, Heating, Plumbing, Ventilation, Industrial and Commercial Cooling sectors in Spain, which, during its last meeting, brought together 614 companies from 25 countries (374 direct participants) and 54,781 visiting professionals, with 88 countries represented amounting to an international representation of 11%.

Under the motto " Creating well-being together", the project structure for C&R 2021 has largely been preserved. Firstly, a trade show held across three pavilions will showcase companies' capabilities in terms of technological innovation and their commitment to sustainability and energy efficiency. The Air Conditioning sector will be located in pavilion 10, Cooling in pavilion 8, and Heating and Plumbing in pavilion 6. Spaces went on sale during the first half of February.

Secondly, in line with advances in digitalisation and its commitment to providing new tools to support the sector, the tradeshow is preparing a digital platform called C&R LIVE CONNECT that will serve as a useful solution for managing appointments, B2B and tracking content via the app.

The meeting also served to designate this year's Organising Committee, which is chaired by the President of AFEC, Asociación de Fabricantes de Equipos de Climatización [Association of climate control system manufacturers], Luis Mena; and the two vice chairs are held by FEGECA, Asociación de Fabricantes de Generadores y Emisores de Calor [Association of heat generator and transmitter manufacturers], and AEFYT, Asociación de Empresas de Frío y sus Tecnologías [Association of cooling and cooling technology companies]. A new format for activities is being developed for the Technical Conferences programme, Foro C&R [C&R Forum], which will discuss the most relevant matters regarding sector activity, as well as a Galería de Innovación [Innovation Gallery] meeting, which will touch upon the most cutting-edge developments in order to encourage and promote R&D+i in the sector. Companies interested in participating will be able to submit their proposals in July.
