The Salón Internacional de Tecnología e Innovación Educativa (International Exhibition of Educational Technology and Innovation), SIMO EDUCACIÓN 2025, has already begun promoting its upcoming event, set to take place at IFEMA MADRID from 28 to 30 October this year. Organised in partnership with EDUCACIÓN 3.0 and with support from the Instituto Nacional de Tecnologías Educativas y de Formación del Profesorado (INTEF) of the Spanish Ministry of Education and Vocational Training, the event, which will be celebrating its 11th edition, is already creating quite a buzz within the sector. Over 60 companies have already confirmed their participation. This year, the exhibition will focus on the theme “Technology and Pedagogy: The Alliance Driving Educational Innovation in the Age of AI.”

Among the companies already confirmed to participate in SIMO EDUCACIÓN 2025 are leading sector brands, including Alexia Educational Suite, Canva, Epson, Google for Education, Microsoft, and Odilo, among others. See this link for a list of companies.

The Instituto Nacional de Tecnologías Educativas y de Formación del Profesorado (INTEF) has once again confirmed its participation in SIMO EDUCACIÓN. This year, it will support teachers by certifying their attendance at the event, recognising it as an essential component of their ongoing professional development.

Alongside the exhibition showcasing the most advanced educational technology, SIMO EDUCACIÓN will feature a dynamic programme of conferences and professional meetings. With the participation of renowned experts, these sessions will offer valuable insights for the entire educational community, reaffirming the event’s status as Spain’s premier business platform for this sector.

In the current debate surrounding the use of technology in classrooms, the sector, as demonstrated at SIMO EDUCACIÓN, advocates for the responsible use of these devices, recognising them as essential allies in pedagogy and student learning.

This will be evident across the various meetings held as part of the Fair, which is centred around the central theme of the alliance between technology and education. For example, experts like María del Mar Sánchez, an educational technology researcher and professor at the Faculty of Education at the University of Murcia, will discuss 'The Screen Debate in Education: Moving Towards a Critical and Informed Perspective'. Meanwhile, teacher and digital well-being advocate Laura Cuesta will highlight the importance of digitalisation in the school environment and explore ways to integrate technology into the classroom to help nurture responsible citizens. Finally, Nacho Guadix, Head of Education and Digital Rights at UNICEF Spain, will discuss children's rights and their relationship with technology. Manuel Area, Professor of Didactics and School Organisation at the University of La Laguna, will focus on ‘Educating Children and Adolescents in the Age of ICT. Decalogue for schools and families’.

Within the SIMO EDUCACIÓN programme, the presentation of the Educational Innovation Awards, now in its 13th edition, will once again take centre stage; the traditional Directors' Day, which is now called SIMO DIRECTORES, and the ceremony of the SIMO IMPULSO Awards.
