This initiative, organised by Hábitat Madrid, is supported by the Community of Madrid, Madrid City Council, Arganda del Rey City Council, Las Rozas City Council, the Madrid Chamber of Commerce and IFEMA MADRID.

Intergift, the International Decoration and Gift Fair organised by IFEMA MADRID, will once again provide the setting for the 2nd Furniture Week of the Community of Madrid, an initiative that reinforces its position as a key meeting point for the habitat sector and as a platform to promote visibility, marketing and connections between companies, professionals and consumers.

Led by the Asociación de Empresarios de Comercios del Hábitat de Madrid (Hábitat Madrid), Furniture Week is supported by the Community of Madrid, Madrid City Council, Arganda del Rey City Council, Las Rozas City Council, the Official Chamber of Commerce and Industry of Madrid and IFEMA MADRID. The second edition, presented last Friday at the Banco Sabadell Auditorium, will take place from 3 to 7 February 2027, coinciding with Intergift, with the aim of invigorating the sector, strengthening the business network and bringing habitat culture closer to the general public.

A boost for the habitat sector within the framework of Intergift

The first Furniture Week of the Community of Madrid was “a turning point for Madrid’s habitat sector”, as Marta Nieto, Director‑General for Trade, Consumer Affairs and Services of the Community of Madrid, underlined during the presentation. “For the first time, retailers, manufacturers, institutions and distributors shared the same space to showcase the diversity, quality and talent that define the furniture industry in the Community of Madrid”, she added.

In this context, the second edition of Furniture Week will be structured around the concept “Here your story begins”, a narrative thread that will connect the home, cinema and the role of the habitat trade. Jesús Clemente, president of Hábitat Madrid has highlighted that “this claim has been chosen because every home starts with a piece of furniture, and every piece of furniture is the first chapter of a story”. "Through this shared theme, there will be special activations during Intergift, as well as cultural interventions and initiatives designed to drive footfall to participating shops.·

"Among the new features, is the incorporation of additional institutional partners, including Madrid City Council, Las Rozas City Council and the Official Chamber of Commerce and Industry of Madrid, which will further enhance the metropolitan and commercial significance of the project”.

Furthermore, during the presentation, Clemente stated that “this second edition consolidates a project that was created to unite the sector and to position Madrid as a benchmark in design, quality and the shopping experience.” In parallel, Alberto Escribano, Mayor of Arganda del Rey, underlined Arganda’s role, noting that it “contributes craftsmanship, industry and a long‑standing tradition linked to furniture. Being part of this initiative is an opportunity to continue driving our productive fabric”.

The staging of the 2nd Furniture Week of the Community of Madrid to coincide with Intergift, Feria Internacional de la Decoración y el Regalo (International Exhibition of Gifts and Decoration) organised by IFEMA MADRID, will help to position Madrid as a key hub for the design, manufacture, distribution and purchase of furniture and home décor, reinforcing a diverse, competitive and expanding business ecosystem.
