Users are increasingly opting for sustainable and durable air conditioning systems that provide maximum comfort with the highest energy efficiency, says Rocío Valle, Marketing and Communications Director at Johnson.

The company has just launched its new 2026 air conditioning catalogue with major new additions, including products already presented at the C&R 2025 trade fair, organised by IFEMA MADRID (Aurum Plus, Aurum Top and Niru), the new Liceo series, and other proposals across the domestic, commercial and renewable energy ranges.

What is the new Johnson Liceo series that the company has just launched onto the market?

The new Johnson Liceo series is a range made up of highly versatile units that allow for very personalised adjustment, always maintaining maximum efficiency and, of course, providing pure air free from microorganisms. This series includes units ranging from 2,200 to 6,000 frigorías, available in 1x1 configurations, while also being compatible with multi systems, both with the brand’s MultiComfort3 series and the Multi Hybrid V1 hybrid system.

In addition to offering a wide range of installation possibilities, these units feature different modes to adapt airflow to the needs of each user. Another of its major advantages is the peace of mind it provides, as the air being breathed is purified thanks to its three-layer filter system, made up of a high-density filter to trap dust, a BIO filter composed of HEPA and a biological enzyme that captures 99% of dust particles smaller than 0.3 μm and eliminates 95% of bacteria, as well as a Cold Catalyst layer, activated carbon and silver ions, which help remove formaldehyde and other volatile organic compounds (VOCs), as well as harmful gases and odours, protect the skin and help destroy the internal structure of bacteria by trapping them in its cells and releasing negative ions to eliminate bacteria effectively.

Of course, in line with current demands, the units feature Wi-Fi connectivity for control from anywhere and are compatible with the ON-OFF connection kit, which in turn is compatible with the brand’s controllers and central units. It is also worth highlighting that, in the case of the 6,000 frigorías capacity model, it features new piping that reduces the use of copper and enables greater gas savings compared with previous Johnson models.

What new developments does it offer in terms of energy efficiency and sustainability?

One of the major new features is the ECO mode with which the unit has been configured. This mode determines temperature more effectively thanks to the pre-training of environmental factors, room conditions and the user’s historical preferences, in order to provide the best atmosphere with maximum energy efficiency. It also incorporates the Gear function, which adjusts compressor power to save energy.

Without a doubt, its Wi-Fi connection and the possibility of connecting to the ON-OFF connection kit also ensure more optimal and efficient use, as the unit can be switched on and off at any time through a simple app and can be integrated with key card systems and window contacts to guarantee operation only when necessary, avoiding energy waste.

What other projects are planned for 2026?

Johnson has just launched its new air conditioning catalogue for 2026 with major new developments. These include the products already presented at the Air Conditioning and Refrigeration Fair (C&R 2025), among them the AURUM PLUS and AURUM TOP series featuring aerothermal units from 26 to 70 kW designed to meet both commercial and industrial needs, with flow temperatures of up to 85ºC and the highest energy rating (A+++). Also included are the NIRU Series cross-flow heat recovery units, available from 500 to 2,000 m³/h, which improve air conditioning efficiency while enhancing indoor air quality.

In the domestic range, alongside the LICEO series, Johnson is expanding the JPMV3 floor console series with additional capacities and launching a range of Multisplit Systems with heat recovery to provide more combination possibilities.

In the commercial range, a new line of one-way cassette units has been introduced. In ventilation, in addition to the aforementioned heat recovery units, Johnson has created a new product category: evaporative air coolers, designed to achieve optimum temperatures in domestic, commercial and industrial settings in a simple and cost-effective way.

Finally, in the renewable energy segment, the brand has updated its range of electric vehicle chargers to make them more intuitive and provide users with complete information.

What new trends and user preferences are emerging in the field of air conditioning?

Users are increasingly choosing sustainable and durable air conditioning systems that provide maximum comfort with the highest possible energy efficiency. There is also growing demand for greater personalisation and intuitive control of equipment, as well as easier maintenance management, making systems simpler to use while providing users with much more information.
