Lluís Giralt López, Managing Director of Gas Servei, warns that “the illegal refrigerant market in Europe is growing every year, creating unfair competition and slowing the transition to new technologies”. Giralt explains how his company, which participated in C&R 2025, provides expert advice and innovative solutions “to help our customers adapt existing installations and new projects to the F-Gas Regulation”.

Gas Servei is a Spanish company with an international presence and reach, specialising in refrigerants for air conditioning and refrigeration, with more than 40 years of experience. How do you contribute to improving the industry's performance?

We provide expert advice and innovative solutions to help our customers adapt existing installations and new projects to the F-Gas Regulation.

What specific products and services do you offer?

We supply refrigerants and a wide range of products for the air conditioning and refrigeration (AC&R) industry, including lubricants, system components, equipment and tools, chemicals, and welding and brazing products. We are also authorised refrigerant waste managers, contributing to the circular economy.

How important was participation in C&R 2025, and how has it helped you grow your business and expand your knowledge of the sector?

It is always an important trade fair for our company, giving us the opportunity to meet national and international customers, establish new contacts and present our latest innovations, all within a short period of time.

What do you consider to be the most important or concerning issues currently facing the industry?

This is a vital, essential and highly regulated industry. Consequently, effective oversight by the relevant authorities is essential to ensure that companies investing in improvements and regulatory compliance are not placed at a disadvantage. As far as refrigerants are concerned, the illegal market in Europe continues to grow year after year, creating unfair competition and slowing the transition to new technologies.
