Alfonso Olcina (Tewis): Being in C&R 2025 demonstrates our resilience and commitment to refrigeration

The Tewis factory in Valencia was wiped out by the DANA floods, but "thanks to a commendable team effort and the support of Daikin we got another factory up and running in just 58 days".
What does Tewis contribute to society and its customers in the field of air conditioning and refrigeration?
Alfonso Olcina: At Tewis, we don't just sell equipment, we build solutions together with the installer in compliance with environmental regulations. We sell experience, efficiency and the peace of mind that CO2 is the best way forward. We also offer training and technical support, which is what our customers demand from us.
And that clear destination towards natural refrigeration means protecting the planet, everyone's home. CO2 has been our commitment for years to finding the balance between the coexistence of an essential sector such as refrigeration and caring for the environment.
What are your main products, services and proposals?
Javier Atencia: Innovation is in our DNA. Tewis' unique solutions are the result of constant research to optimise efficiency in power plants with natural refrigerants, in particular CO2.
And it’s not just us who says so. Scientific studies have shown that the system developed by Tewis ECO2Smartplus is the system that offers the best performance and the greatest energy savings in different climatic conditions compared to other systems currently on the market.
In addition, Tewis has solutions to suit almost all space, power and consumption requirements. And, without a doubt, our great success is to integrate the installer in the whole process. Accompany it for the total satisfaction of the end customer.
How important is it for your company to take part in C&R 2025?
Alfonso Olcina: The C&R exhibition in November is the national event for the refrigeration industry. As you know, the Tewis factory in Valencia was destroyed by the DANA flooding. Thanks to a commendable team effort and the support of Daikin, we managed to commission another factory in just 58 days. Being at the show, on the same stand as always, demonstrates our resilience and commitment to refrigeration. We had to be there.
What other company news can you tell us about?
Daikin has recently designated Tewis as a Cooling Centre of Excellence, a proud recognition that opens up new opportunities for growth and increased capacity for the development of innovative solutions for global markets. This appointment consolidates Tewis' commitment to its original philosophy: the constant pursuit of excellence in refrigeration through the use of natural refrigerants.
