New dates to bring the sector together in a more favourable environment in terms of economy and health, and to contribute to the much-needed boosting of industry activity.

IFEMA and the C&R Organising Committee have agreed on a new date for the next edition of the International HVAC&R Exhibition, and it will bring professionals together from the 16 to 19 November 2021, with the aim to gather the sector in a more favourable environment in terms of economy and health.

This is an especially significant edition, because it aims to contribute to boosting business activity for a sector that is essential to health, the economy and wellbeing, in a context that will guarantee the national and international scope of the event, in-person meetings and professional relations, under the best health and business conditions.

C&R is the main international event for the HVAC and refrigeration industry in Spain and, every two years, it places the sector in a highly-visible showcase. The important sector backing, corporate representation and rallying power it provides all contribute towards revitalising the sector and generating business opportunities for companies and professionals. The numbers reached in the latest edition, held in 2019, in a positive environment for the sector and strong market activity, are proof of the strength of this event, which brought together the new products and services from 374 direct exhibitors and received 54,781 professionals from 88 countries.

IFEMA, a safe space

IFEMA received AENOR certification for the health-hygiene measures it implements, as well as for the protocols carried out to fight COVID-19, which guarantee that trade fairs, congresses and events are safe to be held in its facilities. The institution thus becomes the first Spanish trade fair operator to receive this seal.

The AENOR certificate is an external guarantee of the effectiveness of the measures implemented by the company and, at the same time, it proves that these initiatives meet the guidelines established by the Ministry of Health and the autonomous community and local authorities on COVID-19 prevention and hygiene.

The Community of Madrid has also awarded IFEMA the Garantía Madrid seal, which acknowledges IFEMA’s work carried out to meet the mandatory regulations in the new normal caused by COVID-19, as well as for its extraordinary protocols. IFEMA has also received the ‘Safe Travels’ seal from the World Travel & Tourism Council (WTTC) for the Conventions, Meetings and Events Centres industry, thanks to the protocols and actions carried out in order to return to activities with a safe, healthy and responsible reopening.

These certifications acknowledge the importance of the steps and protocols implemented in order to guarantee the safety and mobility of participants in the events, as well as the transmission of information to everyone, regarding access control measures and capacity, physical distancing, hygiene and cleaning; in addition to the redesigning of the events, combining in-person and hybrid formats, as essential measures for proper development of the trade fairs and congresses.
