Organised by IFEMA MADRID, International Air-Conditioning and Refrigeration Exhibition’s (C&R 2023 Exhibition) international identity due to the exhibition’s exhibiting companies will be one of the event’s main characteristics, which will take place on 14 to 17 November. The participation of more than 20 companies from Türkiye and diverse international associations such as ASHRAE and Eurovent make the event’s international identity evident.

Kerem Ünlü, a member of the Turkish HVAC&R Exporters Association (ISIB), explains how this association is the only authorised and coordinating association of exporters in the HVAC&R sector in Türkiye: “Established in 2011, the association’s aim is to support the sector’s exporting potential and is currently made up of more than 2,800 members”. ISIB carries out various activities to increase exports of its member companies, “such as promoting a National Participation Organisation, similar to what we will do at the C&R Exhibition, where we will organise a collective event with the participation of more than 20 Turkish companies in the ventilation, refrigeration and heating sectors”. As a result, “our companies, whose exports to EU countries amount to more than 50% of their total exports, will exhibit their high-quality products with confidence at the C&R 2023 Exhibition”.

ASHRAE’s Participation

Andrés Sepúlveda, ASHRAE Region XIV Director and Regional Chair and member of the Board of Directors, explains that the American Society of Heating, Refrigerating and Air-Conditioning Engineers (ASHRAE) boasts more than 125 years of history and has more than 50,000 members worldwide.  “ASHRAE’s focus at the C&R 2023 Exhibition is to disseminate and promote its mission to serve humanity by fostering and contributing to the development and advancement of the arts and sciences in heating, ventilation, air conditioning, refrigeration and its related sectors”.

ASHRAE’s vision is not just another one that supports the design, construction, operation and maintenance of healthy and sustainable built environments: “ASHRAE’s purpose in attending the C&R 2023 Exhibition is to promote the technical resources it develops in the form of publications (standards, guidelines and guides); training courses through the ASHRAE Learning Institute (ALI); professional certifications; international conferences and national technical workshops; membership (benefits of ASHRAE membership); participation in TC's (Technical Committees); partnerships with universities (Student Branches); networking with like-minded international professionals; sponsorship of events; and job fairs for young engineers".

The decarbonisation of buildings and interior air quality are two of the main achievements for which AHSRAE is known.  "Its statement to engineers who want to develop their careers in the construction industry is clear: join ASHRAE and let's help improve environmental quality, buildings and make our planet better".

Eurovent’s Incentive

Love-Raguena Ceus, Eurovent Certita Certification’s (ECC) community manager, mentions that she is looking forward to taking part in the C&R 2023 Exhibition: "As a third-party certification company, we will be at the exhibition with the aim of engaging manufacturers and educating air conditioning and refrigeration professionals on product performance certification.”

Products that support a Eurovent certification have a reduced risk and generate confidence between the manufacturer and the client. "The key to Eurovent certification is that all certified products have been independently tested and verified under real operating conditions. This means that professionals can rely on manufacturers' claims.”

When it comes to engaging manufacturers, "our main objective is to promote how Eurovent accreditation helps them demonstrate quality, performance and compliance, whilst developing consumer confidence". In terms of air conditioning and refrigeration professionals, "the aim is to provide information on how Eurovent certification helps installers, designers and specifiers to identify sustainable, reliable, energy-efficient and performance-assured air conditioning products. We want to make them aware of our directory of certified products.”
