FEMA and the Organizing Committee of C&R have held the first meeting in which they have established the main lines of action for the next edition of the International Air Conditioning and Refrigeration Exhibition, which will take place at Feria de Madrid, from November 16 to 19.

Under the slogan "Together we create well-being" the project for C&R 2021 places the commercial exhibition of the Air Conditioning, Ventilation, Industrial and Commercial Refrigeration, Heating and Plumbing sectors in three pavilions, and will offer the new digital platform C&R CONNECT as a complement to the on-site participation.

The Exhibition organisation is also working on the content for the C&R Forum and on a new Innovation Gallery edition, among other activities that, as every year, will provide areas for information and knowledge for industry professionals

The first meeting between IFEMA and the C&R Organising Committee was held on the morning of the 4th February, and the lines of action for the upcoming edition of the International HVAC and R Exhibition, C&R 2021, were presented. This year, as an exception, it will be held from the 16 to 19 November, at Feria de Madrid.

After a year of great uncertainty, C&R 2021 is being promoted as a strategic event to bring new life to commercial activity, to find out about the trends and progress in the industry and, especially, to bring back some normalcy and allow companies and professionals to reconnect, with the much-needed in-person contact. All this within the framework of one of the main international benchmark events in the HVAC and Commercial and Industrial Cooling, Heating and Plumbing sectors, which in its last edition brought together 614 companies from 25 countries (374 of which were direct participants) and 54,781 trade visitors, with an internationality rate of 11% and 88 countries presence.

During the meeting the Organising Committee for this edition was also formed, chaired by the President of AFEC, Association of Manufacturers of HVAC Equipment, Luis Mena, and where FEGECA, Association of Manufacturers of Generators and Heat Emitters, and AEFYT, Association of Cooling and Cooling Technologies Companies, hold the Vice-Presidencies. AFEC, FEGECA and AEFYT  also have members on the Committee, along with representation from AEDICI, Spanish Association of Engineering and Installations Consultant Engineers; CONAIF, National Confederation of Associations of Plumbing and Gas Companies; APIRAC, Associação Portuguesa da Indústria de Refrigeração e Ar Condicionado; ATECYR, Spanish Technical Association of HVAC and Refrigeration;  AseTUB (ANAIP) Sector Group; CNI, National Confederation of Installers and Maintenance Companies; ATEAN, Association of Energy Technical Professionals of Andalusia; ASIMCCAF, National Association of Entrepreneurs, Installers and Maintenance Professionals of the Community of Madrid; AMASCAL, Association of Wholesalers of Sanitation, Heating, Plumbing, Gas; ACTECIR, Catalonian Association of Technical Professionals for Energy, HVAC and Refrigeration; AFAR, Association of Andalusian Refrigeration Manufacturers; ASHRAE Spain Chapter, and ACI, Associació de Consultors d'Instalacions

C&R 2021 Main lines

Under the slogan “Together we create wellbeing” the project for C&R 2021 is mostly maintaining its structure. On the one hand, the commercial exhibition will show its capacity for technological innovation and companies’ commitment to sustainability and energy efficiency, throughout three halls. The HVAC sector will be housed in hall 10, Refrigeration in hall 8, and Heating and Plumbing, in hall 6. Floorspace will be marketed beginning in the last half of February.

In alignment with progress in digitalisation and following its commitment to providing new tools to support activity, the fair is preparing the digital platform C&R CONNECT, which will offer an efficient complement to manage appointments, B2B, and content following through the App.

As for activities, work is progressing on a renewed format for the Technical Conferences programme, Forum C&R, which, as usual, will discuss the main issues affecting the sector, and on the Innovation Gallery, which will again showcase the latest, in order to stimulate and raise awareness on sector R+D+i. Companies interested in participating in this area may submit their proposals in July.
