The Regional Ministries of Education from various Autonomous Communities will showcase their ICT innovation projects at SIMO EDUCACIÓN
The Regional Ministries of Education from the Autonomous Communities of Aragón, Asturias, the Canary Islands, Castile-La Mancha, Castile and León, Madrid, the Basque Country, Extremadura, Murcia and Galicia will present the ICT innovation projects, strategies and methodologies which they are implementing in the different educational institutions across Spain
Organised by IFEMA, SIMO EDUCACIÓN will take place from 13 to 15 November in Hall 14.1 at Feria de Madrid
The Regional Ministries of Education from the Autonomous Communities of Aragón, Asturias, the Canary Islands, Castile-La Mancha, Castile and León, Madrid, the Basque Country, Extremadura, Murcia, and both the Regional Government of Galicia and its Agency for Technological Modernisation, AMTEGA, will be attending SIMO EDUCACIÓN 2018 to share their experiences and discuss their ICT innovation projects. The Learning Technology Trade Fair, which is organised by IFEMA and which will be held from 13 to 15 November in Hall 14.1 at Feria de Madrid, will explore examples of the methodological innovation, training strategies and educational projects that are being implemented in different educational institutions across Spain.
Over the three days of the event, there will be presentations of innovative programmes including the seminar from the Regional Government of the Basque Country, entitled 'The Why and the how of methodological change in Basque Country vocational training', which will focus on how it is driving methodological change in the vocational training system (Aula ETHAZI - High Performance Courses), and the Brújula20 project from the Regional Government of the Canary Islands, which aims to model and simplify teaching work, providing teaching staff with resources and materials that boost innovative methodologies. The Regional Ministry of Education and Universities of the Canary Islands will present the seminar ‘A fab lab for formal education: a space for creativity, discussion and collaboration’, which details a project created in two teacher training centres in the Canary Islands for experiencing the specific culture of a digital fabrication workshop incorporating all members of the educational community. The Agency for Technological Modernisation in Galicia (AMTEGA), together with the Regional Ministry of Education, Universities and Vocational Training of Galicia, will talk about their programme to strengthen ‘The role of ICT in the transformation of the education system in Galicia’.
In addition, the Regional Ministry of Education of Castile-León will present their procedure for obtaining ‘ICT CoDiCe’ certification for the level of digital competence in the integration of ICT in educational institutions in this region, while the Regional Government of Aragón will talk about several training schemes which they are implementing in their region in their seminar ‘Weaving webs: teacher training under the Regional Government of Aragón’, and the Regional Ministry of Education, Youth and Sports of Murcia will present ‘Promoting STEAM competences in educational institutions in the Region of Murcia’, which will focus on educational programmes and activities to foster interest in STEAM competences (Science, Technology, Engineering, Art and Maths) for non-university students.
There will be a presentation on training activities for teachers of professional groups in vocational training from Las Acacias Regional Centre for Innovation and Training, a training centre attached to the Directorate-General for Scholarships and Grants at the Regional Ministry of Education and Research of the Community of Madrid. The main aim of this training is to update the scientific, technical and pedagogical knowledge of teaching staff within the official vocational training scheme in the Community of Madrid.
In addition, the Dynamic Classrooms programme will be presented by the Regional Ministry of Education and Culture of Asturias through an immersive experience entitled ‘#BuildRoom - you can’t escape... create your own dynamic classroom!’, where attendees will have to form teams to resolve missions. Animations, trading cards, radio, robotics and multimedia will all be involved in a Hashtag Battle which will form part of the teams’ challenges. At the same time, the Regional Government of Castile-La Mancha, through their Regional Training Centre, will discuss the importance of training teachers to implement appropriate classroom strategies for students, in the seminar ’Learning scenarios in the 21st Century’.
The Regional Ministry of Education and Employment of Extremadura will talk about INNOVATED, the Digital Education Plan for Extremadura, aimed at promoting the integration of technology in educational processes and the development of innovative programmes, and will present their UDL Guide for open-access digital resources.
The Community of Madrid, the Vocational Training Department of the Regional Government of the Basque Country and the Regional Ministries of Aragón, Castile-La Mancha and Extremadura will also host information stands in the exhibition area at SIMO EDUCACIÓN.
