SIMO EDUCACIÓN launches the 14th Awards for Educational Innovation and Innovative Teaching Experiences 2026
The entry period will be open until 15 July for projects that help improve schools and colleges, which will gain visibility at the next edition of SIMO EDUCACIÓN
SIMO EDUCACIÓN is calling for entries for the 14th Awards for Educational Innovation and Innovative Teaching Experiences, one of the sector’s best-established initiatives for showcasing transformative projects led by teachers, schools and leadership teams. The period for submitting entries will be open until 15 July.
The invitation to participate kicks off the 12th International Exhibition of Education Technology and Innovation, organised by IFEMA MADRID in collaboration with EDUCACIÓN 3.0, to be held from 11 to 13 November with the slogan “Leadership in Management for Educational Transformation”. The selected projects will have the opportunity to be presented at the next edition of SIMO EDUCACIÓN, the sector’s main meeting place for top-tier decision-makers in schools and colleges, where they can discuss the solutions they are implementing and the practices driving their development.
Projects will be assessed by a panel of experts from the field of education, who will evaluate aspects such as improvements in educational quality, attention to diversity, equality, and sustainability, evidence of results, and the possibility of replicating the experiences in other contexts.
Ten categories that recognise innovation in classrooms, schools and colleges
The 14th Awards for Educational Innovation and Innovative Teaching Experiences consider 10 categories that cover the main areas of educational transformation, from school leadership to pedagogical innovation and the application of technology, including STEAM, gamification, emotional education, inclusion, sustainability, and artificial intelligence.
The categories are:
- Best School or College Management Project
- Best Innovative Experience for Children and Primary Education
- Best Innovative Experience in Secondary and Baccalaureate
- Best Innovative Experience in Higher Education (Vocational Training, University…)
- Best STEAM Experience
- Best Gamification Experience
- Best Emotional Education Experience
- Best ICT Project Inclusive Education, Equality and Diversity
- Best Sustainability Experience
- Best Educational Experience in Artificial Intelligence
After the application period closes, 35 innovative experiences will be selected and presented from 11 to 13 November at SIMO EDUCACIÓN 2026. These initiatives will be supported through their participation in the fair, which will give them a space to present their projects to the educational community. They will also receive visibility through the event's communication channels.
Finally, ten selected proposals will be recognised as the most outstanding of the edition. They will receive a certificate of recognition and the distinctive award seal, which certifies their innovative character.
