Safetop’s New More Effective Fall Arrest Harness
Safetop has designed a harness for safer working at heights and preventing falls. The new Aoraki, for rescue, positioning and support, is a top-range, lightweight harness with seven anchor points (one dorsal, two lateral positioning points and four front loops). It has auto-lock buckles to work faster during rescues. And its back, belt and padded leg straps provide greater comfort. The company will also present other new developments at SICUR, such as new lifelines and a double rope. Read more
There are two models of the new Rextrong self-retracting lifelines for working in the harshest environments: 80810 (10 m) and 80815 (15 m). These are made of galvanized steel cable, with an upper swivel ring and an anti-shock spring. They are extra strong, with a resin coating which gives them better durability than most equipment on the market. These lifelines are tested up to 140 kg and for vertical use. The components are very robust and corrosion-resistant, compact and lightweight, with a swivel top anchor point and swivel carabiner at the bottom.
The 80266-20 model is a new 20 m horizontal lifeline, adjustable and designed to allow two operators to work at the same time and provides a solution for jobs where there is a fall risk from different heights.
This new type B lifeline is designed for jobs involving frequent horizontal movements. Its length is adjustable using a turnbuckle and suitable for use by two operators at the same time. It has 35 mm polyester webbing and a total length of 20 m. Both ends are manufactured with a loop and include two oval threaded carabiners. It is supplied with a bag for comfortable carrying.
