IFEMA and PESI create SICUR RESILIENCE, a new Comprehensive Safety area at SICUR
Participating companies and organisations will have a differentiated and highly-visible exhibition area, a networking area and a specialised program of technical conferences. Resilience development entails a comprehensive management of safety and of the current risks in the operational and industrial, environmental, human factor, security and cybersecurity fields. Organised by IFEMA, SICUR will take place from the 25 to 28 February at Feria de Madrid.
The 22nd edition of SICUR, International Security Exhibition, organised by IFEMA at Feria de Madrid from the 25 to 28 February 2020, is preparing a new Industrial Safety section. IFEMA will work in close collaboration to this end with PESI – Spanish Technological Platform for Industrial Safety- on this new area called SICUR RESILIENCE. Relating to the modern concept of Resilience of Companies and Organisations, this area at SICUR will have an exhibition area with its own image and identity, to achieve maximum visibility. The corresponding exhibition stands will also have a networking area and auditorium where two technical conferences will take place.
Resilience development entails a comprehensive management of safety and of the current risks from their various perspectives (operational and industrial, environmental, human factor, security and cybersecurity) and, therefore, new capabilities and tools are necessary within companies. And especially an advanced model for this Governance that allows for the development of suitable strategies and coordination of the related areas within the company.
This, added to the incorporation of intelligence, technologies and other specific systems to increase Resilience, leads to the assurance of business continuity and a quick recovery of services in crisis situations or unexpected events.
A wide presence
SICUR RESILIENCE will host a wide variety of companies and organisations. There will be industrial and services corporations; operators of infrastructures, networks and citizen services; Smart Cities; business consultancies; safety and cybersecurity consultancies; industrial safety engineering companies; technological consultancies; suppliers of safety technologies and systems; cybersecurity services; inspection and certification agencies; and training centres specialising in comprehensive security.
The two technical conferences that will take place at SICUR RESILIENCE will focus on crucial issues for the industry. One of them will analyse the “situation and problems in adopting advanced comprehensive safety models and resilience within organisations, and obtaining certain compliance” and the other will focus on “how to guide the innovation and technology incorporation processes and the use of specific funding sources towards R+D+i projects”. The companies participating at SICUR RESILIENCE will also be able to exhibit their projects, technologies and services.
