There’s a new concept that leaves traditional car shows at the starting line, one in which the visitor takes the lead to connect with the car of their dreams.

  • Visitors to Mobility Car Experience will be able to find out about, try out, get answers to questions and buy the vehicle that best suits their needs.

  • An event like this is key in the current context of uncertainty about new technologies and propulsion systems, ways to use a car without owning it, automated driving, connectivity, new modes of mobility and other trends.

IFEMA has created Mobility Car Experience, which will take place in Madrid from 5th to 10th May 2020. Mobility Car Experience is a new concept that leaves traditional car shows at the starting line. The car industry is going through a paradigm shift, with new technologies and propulsion systems (like hybrid, electric, hydrogen), ways to enjoy a car without owning it, automated driving, connectivity, car sharing and other trends. All this is causing a lot of uncertainty for an audience that needs to know more, get answers to their questions and try out different types of vehicles and mobility systems.

This is the key to Mobility Car Experience, a 3.0 event, one that’s experiential, educational and supports users. Visitors will be able to find out from participating brands about new car models and all the services and technologies that have developed around them in recent years, through a unique range of exhibitions, expert talks, test circuits and immersive experiences.

Visitors to Mobility Car Experience will be able to test drive hundreds of cars of different types, and get expert advice about which type of vehicle or mobility solution best matches their needs: Petrol, Diesel, hybrid, plug-in hybrid, electric, extended-range electric, hydrogen fuel cell, gas and more. There’s a bewildering plethora of propulsion technologies offered by today’s car industry, and each has benefits and drawbacks in day-to-day use and the way they affect urban air quality and global warming. Visitors to Mobility Car Experience will be able to find out about all these technologies, and get to know them, compare them and try them out, with the help of experts.

There’s a similar situation with car categories, with SUVs and Crossovers increasingly popular in a market that offers more and more possibilities. Visitors will be able to try out all of them and have an adventure experience on a track where they can discover surprising features of these types of vehicles.

Visitors will also be able to learn about and test new driver safety, guidance and connectivity systems on circuits designed to try out these technologies. And applications to connect your smartphone to your car, to use it as a remote control. These are just two examples of new technologies that can leave many users bewildered.

And there will also be answers about how to buy and use the car itself: Is it better to buy it outright, lease it, or use it only when needed, by carsharing?

Mobility Car Experience attendees will learn how to join up the loop, because they will also be able to purchase vehicles or lease them, with special offers.

Gone are the top-down car shows of the past, with their look-but-don’t touch format, that didn’t engage with visitors or offer them interactive experiences. Mobility Car Experience is a 3.0 event concept at which the public takes the lead to connect with the car of their dreams.
