Even more professionals, a significant business presence, and a broader international influence were the hallmarks of the 75th edition of Madridjoya. More than 7,300 trade professionals, almost 20% more than last year, attended the event, which featured over 300 brands and companies from more than 20 countries. For four days, from 24 to 27 September, Hall 3 at IFEMA MADRID was buzzing with commercial activity, with new brands, buyers, industry professionals, as well as sector meetings, recognition of craftsmanship, and new design proposals. These results confirm Madridjoya’s position as an unmissable date in the professional jewellery and watchmaking calendar and as the sector’s annual get-together.

The expansion of the exhibition and the participation of companies from new markets marked an edition that confirms the positive impact of the change of dates within the professional trade-fair calendar. By moving away from other international events, Madridjoya has boosted its role as the sector’s only annual gathering and attracted international buyers. Participating companies mentioned the dynamic business environment experienced during the fair, while the exhibitors taking part for the first time were particularly positive about the results achieved. Most expressed an interest in returning for the next edition.

Madridjoya Award winners: a tribute to the architects of the sector

The presentation of the first Madridjoya Awards was one of the highlights of the event. Created with the support of the Spanish Jewellery Confederation, the awards brought together professionals, companies, and institutions to recognise careers representing different generations and ways of contributing to the Spanish jewellery and watchmaking industries.

The Aguilar de Dios family received the Award for Professional Achievement from Rocío Blanco Eguren, Regional Minister for Employment, Enterprise, and Self-Employment of the Andalusian Regional Government. Isidoro Hernández was presented with the Award for Craftsmanship and Jewellery-Making Mastery by Olga Ruiz Castillo, Director-General for Commerce and Hospitality at Madrid City Council. Gold&Roses, meanwhile, received the Award for Innovation in Products or Processes from Óscar Rodríguez, President of the Spanish Jewellery Confederation.  | PDF]

Joyerías José Luis, meanwhile, received the Award for Business Development and Commercial Strategy, presented by Marta Nieto, Director-General for Commerce, Consumer Affairs, and Services of the Community of Madrid. The Madridjoya 2026 Honorary Award was presented to Pedro Pérez, founder of Grupo Dúplex, in recognition of a professional career closely linked to the promotion and development of the sector in Spain. The award was presented by Arancha Priede, Director-General for Trade Fairs and Congresses at IFEMA MADRID.

Four days of professional activity

In addition to its commercial exhibition, Madridjoya hosted a four-day programme of meetings, round-table discussions, and sector content developed in collaboration with associations, institutions, and industry professionals. The National Reference Centre for Jewellery and Goldsmithing, through its Art and Talent programme, the Spanish Jewellery Confederation, entrepreneurs, and industry stakeholders all took part in a programme dealing with training, innovation, and a changing market.

Córdoba also featured prominently in the programme. Madridjoya was one of the first major professional events to take place following the European recognition of the PGI Córdoba Jewellery designation (craft and industrial geographical indication). This brought businesses and buyers closer to the opportunities offered by this new status for one of Spain’s foremost jewellery-making traditions. The fair also hosted other celebrations closely linked to the industry, including the centenary of the Official Association of Commercial Agents of the Community of Madrid and the Spanish Association of Author Jewellery Designers (Asociación de Joyas de Autor - AJA)

The next Madridjoya will be held from 23 to 26 September 2027 at IFEMA MADRID.
