Signature firm Siia receives the first Madridjoya Designers award in 2026
The signature jewellery brand by Andreea Siia will exhibit its collection at Madridjoya from 24 to 27 September at IFEMA MADRID, after standing out among all the candidates presented to this new initiative
Madridjoya, organised by IFEMA MADRID, has announced the results of the first edition of Madridjoya Designers, an initiative created to support emerging brands and recognise up-and-coming talent in jewellery, watchmaking and related industries. The winning brand is SIIA, a contemporary author-jewellery project led by designer and goldsmith Andreea Siia, who will present her MĀRĀCINE collection at the upcoming edition of Madridjoya, from 24 to 27 September.
The jury appreciated SIIA’s singular creative vision, as well as its ability to draw on references from nature, architecture and heritage and transform them into sculptural pieces with a unique identity. The MĀRĀCINE collection is inspired by the thistle, a symbol of strength, transformation, and untamed beauty, to create jewellery crafted from silver, gold and natural stones such as diamonds, amethysts and citrines. The brand combines traditional goldsmithing techniques with contemporary design and responsible production of limited editions.
Having won the first Madridjoya Designers 2026, SIIA will have its own space in the fair’s MINI area, created to showcase emerging projects and distinctive brands. This recognition represents an opportunity to present its work to buyers, distributors, specialist retailers and industry professionals during a special year for Madridjoya, which is celebrating its 75th edition in support of the sector.
Two finalist proposals reflecting the creativity and diversity of the sector
Alongside the winning brand, the jury also selected Federica Marchitelli and Maristela Durán as finalists, two creators offering very different perspectives on contemporary jewellery design.
Italian designer Federica Marchitelli, a graduate in Jewellery Design from the Accademia Italiana in Rome, presented her Danza Aerea collection, inspired by Fellini’s poetic universe, circus imagery and the symbolism of the circle. The collection stands out for the versatile pieces and a creative narrative that connects jewellery, art and contemporary design.
Meanwhile, designer Maristela Durán participated with her elegant Arara Azul e Encantos de la Naturaleza collection, comprising a series of pieces inspired by Brazilian biodiversity and the organic forms of nature. Her proposal combines personal and family references linked to jewellery-making tradition, with designs that bring elements such as the blue macaw and several plant species into the jewellery world.
The excellent reception of this first edition confirms the sector’s interest in spaces that support new creative voices and author-led projects. With Madridjoya Designers, the Fair is introducing a new platform to discover and showcase emerging talent in jewellery, bringing new proposals to the public during the next edition of Madridjoya, from 24 to 27 September, alongside Bisutex.
