The awards will recognise the careers, innovation, craftsmanship, and business excellence of the trade professionals and companies driving the sector.

Madridjoya, Feria Internacional de Joyería y Relojería Urbanas y de Tendencia International (Urban and Trend Jewellery and Watchmaking Show) organised by IFEMA MADRID, is taking yet another step in its commitment to the sector with the creation of the Madridjoya Awards. For the first time, these awards will acknowledge the excellence, effort, and contribution of trade professionals, companies, and businesses that contribute to the development of jewellery and watchmaking.

The initiative will be launched at a particularly significant edition of the event, held for the 75th time from 24 to 27 September. This milestone marks the history of a fair that has kept pace with the sector’s evolution for decades and that continues to be one of its main professional meeting points.

"Behind the evolution of this industry are generations of trade professions with the skill to combine tradition, innovation, and excellence. These awards have been created to highlight the contribution of those who have helped to elevate the prestige, drive the sector’s transformation, and preserve knowledge that is part of the sector’s identity”, says Julia González, director of Madridjoya.

Five awards to praise the excellence of the industry

The Madridjoya Awards will pay tribute to professionals, companies, workshops, and retailers through categories representing some of the pillars upon which the industry’s evolution is based.

  • Professional Career Award in Jewellery or Watchmaking will recognise individuals or companies with a solid career and a significant contribution to the development and prestige of the sector, assessing their influence, evolution, and impact over the years.
  • Craftsmanship and Jewellery Mastery Award is for workshops, craftsmen, and professionals whose technical mastery, precision, and excellence have contributed to preserving and projecting the value of the art of jewellery making, taking into account the quality of execution, the complexity of the work, and the preservation of artisanal techniques.
  • Product or Process Innovation, Design and Commercialisation Award will recognise initiatives that have introduced significant improvements in areas such as materials, production, design, digitisation, and business strategies, with a particular focus on their practical application and market impact.
  • Excellence in Jewellery and Watchmaking Retail Award aimed at shops, retailers and specialised chains that provide outstanding service, the professionalism of their teams and the customer experience offered, also assessing aspects such as point-of-sale management, specialised attention and business evolution.

There will also be a Premio de Honor Madridjoya, an award intended to recognise an extraordinary contribution to the sector and a particularly significant career within the sector.

The presentation of these awards will be part of the activities at Madridjoya 2026, which will also include demonstrations, workshops, and other spaces for sector professionals. All this will enhance a premium exhibition offering, comprising the most prominent companies and brands in the market, which will once again position Madrid as a meeting point for innovation, design, and business.
