Madridjoya strengthens its positioning through participation in the 2nd National Training–Business Meeting
At the round table, the Fair’s director, Julia González, underlined the key role of innovation, internationalisation, and the shopping experience in the ongoing transformation of the jewellery trade.
Madridjoya, the International Urban and Trend Jewellery and Watchmaking Fair organised by IFEMA MADRID, took part in the 2nd National Training–Business Meeting, held in Córdoba and promoted by the National Reference Centre for Jewellery and Goldsmithing, a forum in which the main challenges and opportunities facing the sector were analysed.
In this context, Julia González, director of Madridjoya, took part in the round table “The transformation of the jewellery trade, new business opportunities and strategies for the future of jewellery retail”, moderated by Mariano Romero Juárez, director of the Reference Centre for Jewellery and Silversmithing, and also featuring Carmen Campillo, country manager of TOUS in Spain; Carlos Bejarano González, secretary‑general of FAEL and expert in domestic trade; Javier Romero, CEO of PIE DE REY; and Miguel Ángel Claus Muñoz, CEO of CLAUS UNIÓN.
“The jewellery sector is evolving towards increasingly integrated models, where the combination of tradition, innovation, and shopping experience is decisive. At Madridjoya we are seeing, more and more clearly, how essential it is to create professional meeting spaces that can drive business, facilitate connections between companies, and anticipate the trends that will shape the sector’s development in the coming years”, stressed Julia González in her address. Likewise, during the roundtable, key issues were discussed, including the digitalisation of retail, the internationalisation of businesses, the evolution of consumer habits, and the role of innovation in strengthening the competitiveness of jewellery companies.
Madridjoya, 75 editions reflecting the evolution of the jewellery sector
The next edition of Madridjoya, to be held from 24 to 27 September, will once again bring the sector together and, after 75 editions, has consolidated its position as one of the main meeting points for manufacturers, distributors, and jewellery professionals.
The Fair continues to receive a strong response from the sector, with more than 100 confirmed companies and over 3,500 square metres of exhibition space, featuring an international presence from countries such as Italy, Turkey, Germany, Portugal, France, Colombia, and Japan. This level of participation underscores the interest in being part of a business‑driven environment with international reach.
Companies interested in taking part can still apply and secure prime locations for their brands at the upcoming edition.
