The ninth edition of the event will be held at IFEMA MADRID, from 11 to 13 March next year.

Iberzoo Propet, the leading international trade fair for pet care and pet industry professionals, has opened the registration period for repeat exhibitors. During the registration period, which closes on 15 October, companies can select their exhibition spaces in Hall 10 at IFEMA MADRID's Recinto Ferial, where the next edition will take place.

The success of the 2025 edition once again confirmed Iberzoo Propet as the premier business platform for the pet industry on the Iberian Peninsula. A highly profitable meeting for participating companies, thanks to the numerous participation options and the tools provided by the organisers to exhibitors to maximise their return on investment.

The successful model has established the Spanish trade fair as a key player in the international pet care trade fair and conference circuit

Since its inception, Iberzoo Propet has championed a comprehensive approach, bringing together the entire pet industry sector within a single unified space dedicated to professionals in pet care. This has made it the only event in Europe that caters to both trade professionals and the veterinary field.

The blend of professional profiles, combined with the exchange of scientific and business knowledge, has established the fair as a truly unique event. At the most recent edition, it attracted over 21,000 industry professionals from 38 countries.

Organised by the Madrid Association of Pet Veterinarians (AMVAC) and the Spanish Association of the Industry and Trade of the Companion Animal sector (AEDPAC), the campaign for the upcoming event is already underway with high expectations: aiming to surpass the more than 500 companies represented by 300 exhibitors and cover 23,500 m² of pavilion space in 2025, further enhancing its international impact.

A dynamic and growing sector

There are more than 28 million pets in Spain, living in 49.2% of households. Over 9.4 million dogs and 5.9 million cats are registered.

The sector has a turnover of around 6 billion euros, comprising more than 5,000 retail businesses, 7,000 veterinary clinics and service companies, and generates approximately 75,000 direct jobs and up to 300,000 indirect ones.

This impetus is due to increased social awareness of animal welfare and the consolidation of a pet-friendly culture in Spain.

More activities for companies and professionals in the sector than ever before

The 43rd VetMadrid Congress will be held to coincide with Iberzoo Propet 2026. Organised by AMVAC, it will focus on Medicine and Surgery of the Cardio-Respiratory System and will be hosted in the North Convention Centre, adjacent to Hall 10. The South Auditorium will also be adapted for other activities.

Similarly, the 8th AEDPAC FORUM will take place, offering discussions on the key trends in the industry and trade sector, with the participation of leading specialists across various fields of the pet industry and commerce.

As is tradition, both associations will present their respective market studies and the latest industry analyses.

The programme will also feature presentations from Aula Veterinaria, hairdressing exhibitions featuring brands such as Artero, the Art Forum artistic space, and the Tarde del Sector. This will include the traditional launch of the fifth edition of the Antón Awards, as well as the Impulso Awards, recognising innovation in new products and services.

In addition to AMVAC and AEDPAC, the event is supported by AEVET, the Spanish Association of Clinical Veterinarians; ANFAAC, the National Association of Pet Food Manufacturers; CEVE, the Spanish Business Veterinary Confederation; the Vet+i Foundation; and VETERINDUSTRIA, the Spanish Business Association of the Animal Health and Nutrition Industry.

Finally, as has now become customary, Iberzoo Propet will provide the sector with its digital platform, LIVE Connect, which connects the professional community year-round, 365 days a year.
