Iberzoo Propet 2026 is almost fully booked

Feria Internacional para el Profesional del Animal de Compañía (Pet Industry International Trade Fair), Iberzoo Propet, a benchmark event for the pet industry and professionals in the Iberian Peninsula, will take place for the ninth time - the 17th in the case of Propet- in Hall 10 at IFEMA MADRID, from 11 to 13 March 2026.

Four months before it takes place, the event is almost fully booked, exceeding the business participation figures registered in the previous 2025 edition. The pet industry, which is enjoying a boom, is looking forward to its annual event at Iberzoo Propet, a top-tier business space and an excellent meeting place for both offer and demand.

This high level of business participation reflects a great moment for the Spanish pet food industry, which reached 573,210 tonnes in the 2024 financial year (an increase of 2.1% compared to 2023). Similarly, it is worth highlighting the boost of the specialised channel and e-commerce, with a total sales volume growth of 4.6%, particularly noting the increase in wet cat food (+32.5%).

Cats are proving to be a crucial segment, as demonstrated at the I VET CATS Congress, held from 13 to 15 November at IFEMA MADRID, and organised by AMVAC (Asociación Madrileña de Veterinarios de Animales de Compañía), the Madrid Association of Pet Veterinarians. According to the Association's report, which will once again have a prominent presence at Iberzoo Propet 2026, there are currently five million cats in Spanish households, representing a rapidly growing market, as reflected in significant business participation in this important segment.
