The trade fair will feature 40 international journalists from 23 countries, a programme of buyers from Europe and Africa, support from international associations such as the FBAA and ARP, and the visit of a delegation from the Global Passenger Network, invited by ANETRA

The upcoming edition of the International Bus and Coach Fair, FIAA, organised by IFEMA MADRID from 22 to 24 September, will cement its international standing along three lines of action: a specialist international press programme with visitors from Europe, Africa and Asia; the presence of international buyers affiliated with major passenger transport operators; and the visit of a delegation from the Global Passenger Network (GPN), invited by ANETRA. The event will also be supported by international associations like FBAA and ARP, helping strengthen links with other markets and key players in the sector.

The international press programme will bring together more than 40 specialist journalists from 23 countries, helping raise awareness of the key developments, launches and initiatives presented during the fair. This coverage will help promote the image of FIAA and its exhibitors in strategic markets, further cementing the event’s global standing.

FIAA will also boost its ability to generate business through a programme involving buyers from various countries across Europe and Africa. These professionals are affiliated with some of the leading passenger transport operators in their respective markets, collectively overseeing a fleet of over 300 buses, coaches and minibuses owned by their companies.

In addition to these programmes, there will also be a delegation from Global Passenger Network (GPN), one of the world’s leading networks for collaboration between road passenger transport operators. The delegation will include representatives from the Netherlands, Mexico, Malta, Poland and Belgium, including Roger Staal, CEO of the Royal Oostenrijk Group and current Chair of GPN; Carlos Saenz, CEO of Viamex; Manuel Zarb, CEO of Zarb Coaches; Agnes and Mateusz Pastuszak, of TPO Pastuszak; and Paul Cremers, CEO of Staf Cars.

Overall, the GPN network has a presence in more than 40 countries and a combined operational capacity of over 26,000 vehicles, reflecting the international reach of this collaborative platform between operators. Among those attending FIAA are executives from leading companies in the sector who, collectively, manage a fleet of nearly 500 buses and coaches, bringing to the event business representatives with genuine decision-making authority, operational expertise and an international perspective on the road passenger transport sector.

During their time at FIAA, GPN members will have the opportunity to experience first-hand the latest developments and innovations that are shaping the future of bus and coach transport. They will also hold meetings with manufacturers, operators, associations and other industry stakeholders, with a view to exchanging knowledge, opening up new avenues for international collaboration and generating business opportunities for exhibiting companies.

The trade fair is establishing itself as one of the major trade events in the sector in Europe. FIAA 2026 will attract over 110 exhibiting companies and see a growth of over 50% in international participation compared with the previous edition, reflecting the interest it generates amongst manufacturers, suppliers, operators and institutions from different markets, reinforcing its role as a strategic platform for collective mobility, business generation and connecting the sector’s leading international players.
