ExpoÓptica to integrate a new edition of OPTOM Congress 24
EXPOÓPTICA, Salón Internacional de Óptica y Optometría (International Optics and Optometry Exhibition) will be held from 12 to 14 April 2024.
Organised by IFEMA MADRID, it will host the OPTOM 2024 Congress, which recently presented its contents and news to numerous industry representatives.
The event was also attended by ExpoÓptica's executive team, led by the fair’s director, Ana Rodríguez, and Ana Isabel López, its commercial manager. They were joined for the presentation by the president of the General Council of the Colleges of Opticians-Optometrists of Spain and the president of the OPTOM Congress, Juan Carlos Martínez Moral, as a sign of IFEMA MADRID’s support for this magnificent congress. OPTOM Congress is already an essential platform for debate and knowledge, and hosts presentations of innovative solutions and techniques used in optometry today and which will be launched the immediate future.
The OPTOM 2024 Congress will address The evolution of the visual system in species, a subject that will be taught by Juan José Salazar Corral, a lecturer, biologist, and professor of ophthalmology at the Complutense University of Madrid, and will also host two keynote lectures, one on “Gene Therapy” and the other on “Light in Optometry and Ophthalmology”. In addition to this, there will be three plenary sessions: “Healthy ageing in eye care”, “Artificial intelligence: impact of new technologies on our daily Professional Practice”, and “Prevention and Control of Myopia”.
The 34th edition of ExpoÓptica will take place from 12 to 14 April 2024 in Hall 10 of the Recinto Ferial at IFEMA MADRID. For more information, click here.
