In addition to the exhibition area, the II International Construction Week Congress will take place under the theme "Building the Future: Innovation, Sustainability and Industrialization", bringing together developers, contractors and distributors from across the sector.

CONSTRUTEC, VETECO, SMART DOORS and PISCIMAD will form a unified business platform from 10 to 13 November, focused on industrialization, sustainability and digital transformation, bringing together more than 500 companies across 43,000 sqm of net exhibition space. Colombia will participate as Guest Country, reinforcing the event’s international scope and its connection with Ibero-America, while Navarra will be the Guest Region and Barcelona the Guest City.

IFEMA MADRID will host a new edition of International Construction Week from 10 to 13 November 2026, bringing together the trade fairs CONSTRUTEC, VETECO, SMART DOORS and PISCIMAD under a single umbrella event that will unite the entire building and construction value chain.

With more than 500 exhibiting companies and over 43,000 sqm of net exhibition space, International Construction Week will occupy Halls 7, 8, 9 and 10 of the IFEMA MADRID Exhibition Centre. This scale positions the event among the leading professional platforms for the construction industry in Southern Europe and as a key meeting point for showcasing solutions, generating business opportunities and exchanging knowledge.

The event will connect manufacturers, distributors and suppliers of building materials, systems and technologies with a professional audience that includes contractors, property developers, architects, engineering firms, installers, building surveyors, specifiers, façade specialists, renovation companies, importers, project managers and public-sector decision-makers.

A Specialized Showcase Covering the Entire Building Life Cycle

International Construction Week builds on the expertise of its four co-located trade fairs to offer a comprehensive view of the built environment. Under a shared identity, the project brings together the sectors involved in every stage of a building’s life cycle, from design and material selection to construction, installation, energy efficiency, maintenance and refurbishment.

CONSTRUTEC will feature solutions related to construction materials, building systems, industrialised construction, machinery, tools, architecture and digital technologies. The event will also host CONSTRUTEC BIM.

VETECO will bring together companies specializing in windows, curtain walls, façades, enclosures, glass, solar protection systems, hardware, accessories, machinery and solutions designed to enhance building envelope performance. The exhibition will also include the VETECO SOLAR and VETECO GLASS areas.

SMART DOORS will showcase innovations in doors, automation systems, access control, security, accessibility and fire protection.

PISCIMAD will gather companies specializing in swimming pools, aquatic facilities, wellness and related equipment, connecting manufacturers, distributors and installers.

“International Construction Week reflects IFEMA MADRID’s commitment to supporting strategic sectors of the economy through platforms that foster business, innovation and collaboration. With more than 500 exhibitors and over 43,000 sqm of net exhibition space, the event demonstrates both the current strength of the industry and its capacity to continue driving growth, employment and competitiveness in Spain and international markets. Our role is to create these spaces and continue contributing to economic development,” said Arancha Priede, General Manager of Trade Fair and Congress Business at IFEMA MADRID.

A Strategic Industry Driving Economic Growth and Employment

International Construction Week takes place at a time of growth and transformation for Spain’s construction products and materials industry. The sector comprises approximately 28,500 companies and employed 410,000 people in the second quarter of 2026, representing an increase of 2.3% compared with the same period in 2025. This accounts for 1.8% of total employment in Spain and 13.2% of employment within Spanish industry. Unemployment in the sector stood at 6.1%, below the national average of 9.9%.

The industry contributes 2.1% of Spain’s GDP and maintains a strong international orientation. In 2025, Spanish exports of construction materials and products reached €27.45 billion, generating a trade surplus of €3.59 billion. During the first half of 2026, exports increased by 5%, while the trade surplus climbed to €1.852 billion, up 12.7% compared with the same period the previous year.

II International Construction Week Congress to Focus on Housing, Industrialisation and Business Transformation

One of the event’s key pillars will be the II International Construction Week Congress, organised in collaboration with Alimarket, which will take place from 10 to 12 November in Hall 7 of IFEMA MADRID.

The Congress will bring together nearly 50 speakers and representatives from leading companies, associations and institutions over three days. The programme will run simultaneously across two dedicated forums: the Business Auditorium and the Sector Auditorium, providing complementary perspectives on the industry's main economic, operational and technological challenges.

The Business Auditorium will address topics such as building materials distribution, real estate development, housing demand and industrialized construction. Meanwhile, the Sector Auditorium will explore the state of the construction industry in Spain, changes in development and delivery models, sustainability, innovation, investment and the adoption of new digital technologies.

Content will be specifically tailored to contractors, developers, architects, engineering consultancies, specifiers, manufacturers, distributors, investors and installation companies, fostering dialogue between solution providers and the decision-makers responsible for implementing them in buildings, real estate developments and urban projects.

Participating organizations and institutions include CEPCO, the Spanish National Construction Confederation, the Higher Council of Spanish Architects’ Associations, APCE Spain, ASPRIMA, the Construction Labour Foundation, the General Council of Technical Architecture of Spain, the Official College of Architects of Madrid, the Eduardo Torroja Institute for Construction Science, ITeC, buildingSMART Spain, the Spanish Construction Technology Platform, and the Madrid City Council, among others.

Internationalization, Architecture and Territory

Internationalization will once again be a strategic pillar of the event. The participation of companies and professionals from multiple markets will be complemented by initiatives designed to facilitate connections between suppliers, buyers, distributors and institutional stakeholders.

In this context, Colombia will participate as Guest Country, strengthening the event’s international dimension and reinforcing links with Ibero-America. Colombia’s participation will create opportunities for dialogue, knowledge exchange and business collaboration between companies, associations and institutions from both countries. The congress program will also include a special session focused on Colombia, showcasing opportunities for cooperation and industry exchange.

In addition, Barcelona will participate as Guest City, while the Chartered Community of Navarra will be represented as Guest Region, highlighting successful initiatives in architecture, innovation, sustainability and urban development.

These initiatives further strengthen International Construction Week’s position as a meeting point not only for companies and industry professionals, but also for cities, regions and institutions that are shaping new models of urban development, renovation, sustainability and innovation.

International Construction Week, organized by IFEMA MADRID and bringing together CONSTRUTEC, VETECO, SMART DOORS and PISCIMAD, will take place from 10 to 13 November 2026.
