International Construction Week cements international appeal with participation of companies from over twenty countries
This year’s Guest Country, Colombia, will take centre stage at one of the main international sessions of the 2nd International Construction Week Congress.

Colombia as Guest Country and strategic bridge to Latin America
One of the most important highlights of this year’s event will be Colombia’s participation as Guest Country, an initiative that highlights the growing relationship between Spain and Latin America in the fields of construction, renovation, infrastructure and sustainable building. The Colombian delegation will include institutional representatives, sectoral associations and companies from, fostering an environment of collaboration and the creation of business opportunities between the two markets.
On that note, the 2nd International Construction Week Congress will host a specialised conference organised in collaboration with CAMACOL, the Colombian Chamber of Construction. The event will examine the development of the sector in Colombia, opportunities for investment and international cooperation, as well as the trends that are transforming the construction industry in Latin America in areas such as industrialisation, digitalisation, sustainability and innovation.
An international programme to boost business and internationalisation
International expansion will also prove a hot topic across the programme of events at International Construction Week. In addition to the day dedicated to guest country Colombia, the Congress will host a second session with a distinctly international flavour, organised in collaboration with ACOCEX, the Spanish Association of Foreign Trade Professionals.
The conference will focus on international expansion as a tool for growth for companies in the sector, addressing issues relating to entering new markets, exports, identifying international opportunities and strategies to strengthen the competitiveness of Spanish companies overseas.
An international platform for business and knowledge
The programme will include other international events such as the ASEFAVE Ibero-American Forum, which will be held as part of VETECO and will bring together representatives from various countries to analyse the common challenges facing the window, façade and building envelope sectors, while also identifying opportunities for cooperation between Ibero-American markets.
From 10 to 13 November, International Construction Week will once again transform IFEMA MADRID into the leading hub for innovation, business and the international growth of the sector, cementing its place as a strategic platform to drive business growth and strengthen the competitiveness of the entire construction value chain.
