DeChavarri wins the Bisutex Talents 2026 programme with its premium artisanal leather goods
The Madrid-based firm has been recognised in this programme organised by Bisutex, an event to be held from 24 to 27 September at IFEMA MADRID
Bisutex, Feria Internacional de la Bisutería y los Complementos (International Fashion Jewellery and Accessories Trade Fair), has chosen to award the Bisutex Talents award to DeChavarri. The Madrid-based handcrafted leather goods brand impressed with an outstanding combination of timeless design, manufacturing entirely carried out in Spain, artisanal excellence, and a strong commitment to quality and durability.
It was recognised in a call that included numerous applications from emerging brands from several countries. The brand is now invited to present its collection at the next edition of Bisutex, which will take place from 24 to 27 September at IFEMA MADRID. It will be featured in the MINIS space, an initiative that promotes new creative proposals and facilitates connections with companies, buyers, and sector professionals.
A collection inspired by the Hellenistic sculpture Winged Victory of Samothrace
The proposal submitted by sisters Curra and Cristina Chávarri centres on the Victoria Collection, inspired by the famed sculpture of the Winged Victory of Samothrace. A line of bags and accessories that seeks to combine elegance, functionality, and Spanish craftsmanship through pieces made entirely in Spain.
DeChavarri’s bags use domestic leathers and artisanal manufacturing processes that highlight handwork and attention to detail. Each piece also incorporates distinctive elements such as clasps inspired by Art Deco moulds and finishes executed by specialists.
The award‑winning collection includes models such as Doctora, the brand’s flagship design; Midi Doctora, a more compact and versatile version; as well as pieces like Hilma, Mezzo, Petit Amarello, Clutch and Tote Alejandra, all developed under a single philosophy: to create items that combine capacity, organisation and sophistication without sacrificing practicality.
Trade visitors will be able to discover DeChavarri’s collection at the next edition of Bisutex, which already has more than 150 national and international companies confirmed. This professional event also coincides, from 24 to 27 September at IFEMA MADRID, with Madridjoya, bringing together some of the leading proposals from the costume jewellery, accessories, fine jewellery, and watchmaking sectors on the same stage.
