HTS Racing Workshop, a Motortec partner: “The beauty of this trade show is that it connects brands with the industry, but also with people”
The shop, which specializes in restomods, will be part of the largest automotive parts and services event in Latin America. It’s an opportunity where they hope to “have a good time,” connect with their customers, and also with the exhibiting brands.
In an industry marked by speed and technological innovation, HTS Racing has chosen a different path: restoring classic cars, breathing new life into them, and transforming them for everyday use. They will showcase this philosophy at Motortec, June 18–20, as event partners.
With nearly 24,000 followers on Instagram, HTS is a company dedicated to restoring Suzuki cars. It was founded by Carlos Squadrito and Davor Letnic. Today, they not only have their workshop on Camino La Pólvora in Valparaíso but have also built a community by sharing content on social media and selling T-shirts and parts online.
That’s more than enough to join Motortec. Davor Letnic highlights this as a unique opportunity. “The beauty of this fair is that it connects brands with the industry, but also with people. We like to build strong ties with our community and share our passion with those who feel the same way,” he says.
The shop, renowned for its restomod projects, has established itself as one of the most prominent players in the central region’s car scene. “We’re clear on one thing: we don’t build cars just to look at; we build cars to be driven. We’ve grown around the idea of using that old metal—but in everyday life,” he explains.
At HTS Racing, they believe there is special value in restoring classic vehicles and bringing them back to people, especially in a context where immediacy often takes precedence over experience.
“Chile is a country where everything has to be fast and practical. People look for immediate solutions and sometimes forget a little bit about enjoying themselves, about having vehicles made for them that ultimately become part of their family,” he notes.
For this reason, they emphasize the importance of events like Motortec, which bring together diverse perspectives from the automotive world and create a space where both companies and enthusiasts can share experiences, trends, and automotive culture.
“It’s wonderful that people can reconnect with these kinds of projects, that they catch their attention and resonate with our passion. That’s why we like to participate,” he adds.
In addition to showcasing some of their projects and building new connections within the industry, HTS Racing will also serve as judges for “Show Off Your Gem,” an event where they hope to discover the real stories behind each vehicle.
“We die-hard car enthusiasts have a connection with vehicles that goes beyond the physical. We’re going to assess the soul—that’s the key difference between handmade cars and mass-produced ones. The intangible,” he concludes.
