Coni a Fondo will become an ambassador for Motortec 2026 and highlights the boom in the car enthusiast scene

The automotive content creator has nearly 46,000 followers on Instagram thanks to her content on car restoration, events, and races.

Motortec 2026 will be the country’s most important aftermarket event in 2026, bringing together brands, suppliers, and content creators in the industry. Among the latter is “Coni a Fondo,” which has just under 46,000 followers on Instagram thanks to the automotive-related content it posts. The young woman will join the team of ambassadors for the trade show, which will take place at Espacio Riesco.

Coni notes that the trade show is motivating because, on a personal level, it fosters an “openness to the world of business and networking.” Additionally, with visitors in mind, she emphasizes that “it can bring the brand or supplier closer to the end customer and thus build a stronger connection. “I like being able to support this initiative just as I would like others to support me.”

Her perspective comes from a context that, as she herself describes, is on the rise in the industry. “We’re entering a boom in the car enthusiast world; it’s reviving, and it’s finally gaining recognition after almost 30 years,” she notes. A trend that is also reflected in mechanical fields such as auto restoration: “It’s an important niche within the industry; it’s gaining more and more momentum and space. It’s a very dedicated world.”

At the same time, she notes that the path is becoming increasingly clear for more women to join a world that has almost always been dominated by men. “I feel that the role of women has come a long way in the last two years; I’m grateful and impressed,” she says, though she points out that there is still room for improvement: “What’s always missing is just a little more support.”

Despite the challenges, her experience has been positive. “They’ve welcomed me with open arms, trusted me and my process, and always given me opportunities,” she says. That environment has allowed her to develop both mechanically and on the track: “I’ve learned much more in depth, I’ve had the chance to race on tracks in Chile, and I’ve traveled doing what I love.”

That evolution also intersects with her personal history. Her connection to the world of motorsports dates back to her childhood. “It’s always caught my attention; my mother was a driver and a self-taught mechanic—that’s what sparked my love for engines,” she says. Added to that is a childhood spent in garages: “Ever since I was a little girl, I was always involved in that. My mother would take me for drives in the car when I couldn’t sleep.”

Although he’s been driving since he was 12, his time on the racetrack is recent. “The first time I got on a track was at Las Vizcachas about a year and a half ago,” he explains. He’s also faced challenges along the way: “I’ve had three accidents in the past two years, but I’ve been lucky. It’s just been a few sprains and property damage.”

Today, her outlook blends ambition with realism. “I’d love to fulfill my dream of becoming a professional racer, but it requires a lot of money and brand support, which I don’t currently have,” she acknowledges. For that reason, she’s also focused on continuing to develop her production company and establishing herself within the motorsports ecosystem, with Motortec playing a key role in that vision.

“Coni a Fondo’s” Participation in Motortec

For now, Constanza Molina will play a key role in promoting Motortec’s activities, both leading up to and during the event. Two key events at the fair include the Technical Olympics and the International Forum, which will take place during the fair.

The first event is organized in partnership with Duoc UC and aims to encourage continuous improvement, hands-on learning, and professional development among students from various technical and vocational institutions across the country through a competition in which participants must pass a series of tests until a winner is selected.

At the International Forum, meanwhile, roundtable discussions will be held to present and debate the most important issues facing the sector, both nationally and internationally. This is a key platform for innovation, technology transfer, and knowledge sharing among event participants. In her role as ambassador, Coni will have an opportunity to contribute her expertise to the event.

It is worth noting that the fair will take place from June 18 to 20 at Espacio Riesco. This will be its fifth edition, organized by IFEMA Madrid and FISA, part of the GL events Chile Group.
