SIMO EDUCACIÓN makes progress with a schedule aimed at leaders of the school and college transformation

The more than 50 sessions on the agenda will address leadership, artificial intelligence, teacher well-being, inclusion, and responsible use of technology in classrooms in an edition focused on educational decision-making.

The theme of the 12th edition of SIMO EDUCACIÓN, from 11 to 13 November, will be “Executive leadership for educational transformation. Organised by IFEMA MADRID, the event will feature more than 50 presentations, panel discussions, workshops, and success stories, aimed especially at management teams, heads of innovation, IT coordinators, public administrations, and other decision-making profiles in educational centres.

Over three days, teachers, universities, experts, and specialised companies will share experiences and tools to address some of the main challenges facing education today, from the integration of artificial intelligence to teacher well-being, inclusion, and digital citizenship. Developed in collaboration with EDUCACIÓN 3.0, this year’s agenda will offer a practical, cross-cutting view of the trends that are shaping the evolution of schools and colleges.

SIMO DIRECTORES extends its programme across all three days of the fair

One of the top spaces at this edition will be SIMO DIRECTORES, which will extend its programme throughout the three days of the event, with content focused on building strong organisational cultures, team leadership, change management, and data-driven decision-making.

This space will feature contributions from professionals such as Enrique Escandón Sánchez, a specialist in educational leadership and organisational culture; Javier Luna, General Director of Cristo Rey School and expert in leadership and team management; Jorge Calvo, Director of Innovation and Analytics at the European School of Madrid; Elvira López Palomeque, specialist in educational marketing and artificial intelligence; and Alberto and Mario Herráez, from Etwinz Education.

Artificial intelligence and leadership to face new educational challenges

Artificial intelligence features prominently in the line-up planned for SIMO EDUCACIÓN 2026. The presentations on this topic will address aspects such as AI governance, its pedagogical applications, assessment, critical thinking, data culture, and evidence-based decision-making.

Sessions will include proposals such as “The Challenge of Encouraging Thinking in Times of AI”, led by Carlos Magro Mazo, president of the Open Education Association, and “How to Implement Artificial Intelligence in an Educational Centre. “Practical Guide for Management Teams”, delivered by Vicent Gadea, a consultant and trainer specialising in artificial intelligence applied to education.

Teacher well-being, inclusion, and responsible screen use

The programme will also include sessions dedicated to teacher well-being, with content related to school organisation, connection with students, and creating healthier learning environments.

Among others, it will feature contributions from Mariano Fernández Enguita, sociologist and honorary professor at the Complutense University of Madrid, who will address new models of teacher collaboration supported by technology; Víctor Arufe Giráldez, professor at the University of A Coruña, who will analyse strategies to improve well-being and learning in the classroom; Eli Delacour, specialist in emotional intelligence; and Teresa Giménez Arenas, teaching advisor at the Baix Llobregat Nord Pedagogical Resources Centre.

Likewise, inclusion, computational thinking, and responsible use of screens are additional important topics in the programme. Among other contents, Javier Pereira Loureiro, professor at the Universidade da Coruña and deputy director of CITIC, will present the Talentos Inclusivos (Inclusive Talents) project; Elena Vercher Ribis will share proposals to promote gender equity through creative programming; and Camino López, professor at the Universidad Fernando III, will address media literacy and the critical use of social networks in the educational environment.

SIMO EDUCATION, a meeting point for the education sector

To accompany the programme of contents, SIMO EDUCACIÓN will once again convene a wide range of specialised companies in technology, innovation, and solutions for the educational field. The educational event will showcase innovations, tools, and resources for all stages of education, and the professionals responsible for their implementation in schools.

It will also host the 14th Awards for Educational Innovation and Innovative Teaching Experiences, consolidating its role as a launchpad for projects, initiatives, and best practices that contribute to promoting a more innovative, inclusive, and connected education ready for the challenges of the future. The submission period for proposals will remain open until July 15.

From 11 to 13 November, the educational sector will hold one of its main events at IFEMA MADRID, where in-person activity will be complemented by other discussion spaces such as SIMO EDUCACIÓN TALKS or the digital platform Live Connect, which will facilitate professional networking, the generation of contacts and access to specialised content before, during and after the event.
