SICUR CYBER, new to the next edition of SICUR 2018
· A space organized by IFEMA and co-organized with the Spanish Association for the Promotion of Information Security, ISMS Forum, will be the meeting-point for trade experts to talk about trends, regulations, solutions, challenges and threats to an ever-changing industry that impacts every area of cybersecurity.
· SICUR 2018 will be held from February 20-23, 2018 at the Feria de Madrid.
SICUR 2018 is adding to its broad program of activities and contents the new SICUR CYBER space organized by ISMS Forum. This area will be dedicated exclusively to analysis and debate on the main concerns of the industry in cybersecurity matters. This will take place over the four-day Conference Program, where tradesmen will talk about trends, rules and regulations, solutions, challenges and threats to a constantly changing industry.
Organized by the ISMS Forum's Cyber Security Centre, "Cyber Day" will focus its activity on cybersecurity as the baseline for the digital transformation of the company. Other key aspects that will be discussed include "Data breach notification" and its impact on business; In addition, the new 2018 trends in cybersecurity will be featured and a second debate will take place on the role of artificial intelligence in preventing cyber-threats.
Organized by the ISMS Forum's Data Privacy Institute, "Data Protection Day" will exclusively look into the practical implications of the new European General Data Protect Regulation. Furthermore, a debate will be held on necessarily adapting technology to fit the new regulatory framework, a talk that will put the stress on information leaks and theft, and a second talk will be on how to analyze the risk and assess the impact on data processing.
“Cloud, Mobility & IoT Day” will be carried out by the Centre for Mobility Studies and IoT and the Spanish chapter of ISMS Forum's Cloud Security Alliance. Both initiatives will deal with the challenges we are facing regarding security in the Cloud. The debate will therefore be on user access and identity in the Cloud and its implications in IoT's cybersecurity component.
On the fourth day, the SICUR CYBER area will host "Awareness Day", where the talk will be on the main threats to the user's cybersecurity and the importance of the human factor in any security strategy. To conclude this area, a talk will be given by the ISMS Forum's Data Privacy Institute on what is new in the new European General Data Protection Regulation and its implications for the user.
