SICUR 2024 will once again unite the professional world of integrated security from 27 February to 1 March 2024 at IFEMA MADRID. This International Security Trade Fair is expected to experience growth in all parameters and contribute to boosting the sector. It will address the main trends and highlight new developments resulting from the research and development of the companies and institutions that make up the industry.

To date, 624 companies from 29 countries have confirmed their participation in the fair, representing a 22.35% increase in direct participation compared to the previous fair. The next fair is due to start in two months. However, international representation increased by 75% due to the participation of 154 foreign companies from 29 countries: Australia, Austria, Belgium, Bulgaria, China, Cyprus, Czech Republic, Denmark, Estonia, France, Germany, Greece, Hong Kong, India, Ireland, Italy, Lithuania, Luxembourg, Netherlands, Pakistan, Poland, Portugal, Serbia, Sweden, Switzerland, Taiwan, Türkiye, United Kingdom, and USA.

The companies will display their latest innovations and technological developments in the three main areas, as usual, organised by SICUR. The Fire and Emergency Safety sector, which will showcase all the products and solutions for passive and active fire protection, as well as those who are firefighters; Occupational Safety, with the latest in occupational risk prevention and new proposals for occupational health; and finally, Security, which will showcase advancements in electronic and physical security, as well as security services aimed at safeguarding both property and human life.

Furthermore, SICUR 2024 will feature the inaugural EXO CORNER, showcasing pioneering exoskeleton projects developed in partnership with the Instituto de Biomecánica de Valencia (IBV). In this section, there will be an exploration of the latest advancements in exoskeletons - devices designed to enhance an individual's physical strength and endurance. Crucial topics such as training, user acceptance, and ergonomics to ensure their effectiveness and successful adoption will also be examined. Our team of experts in this field will provide valuable insights.

At the upcoming International Security Fair SICUR CYBER, the focus will be on cyber security and the tools available to protect the information, systems, and data of companies and individuals from cyber threats in today's digital environment. This year, it will be organised in collaboration with RED Seguridad and Seguritecnia magazines. The event will offer a programme of conferences, workshops, and commercial presentations aimed at disseminating knowledge and culture of cybersecurity among the security industry. It will also give a voice to the needs of the security industry and its advances.

In addition to the commercial offer, FORO SICUR is a valuable knowledge reference. It addresses current issues related to all segments covered in SICUR.

As with previous years, the INNOVATION GALLERY will showcase the research and development projects that companies are currently working on. The jury selected 26 proposals, including seven in Fire and Emergency Safety, seven in Security, and twelve in Occupational Safety. All items will be exhibited at SICUR 2024.

The unanimous support of both the public and private sectors is crucial to the success of SICUR. This is reflected in the Organising Committee, which comprises organisations and bodies representing the supply and demand in the security industry. TECNIFUEGO (Spanish Association of Fire Protection Companies) chairs this committee, with AES (Spanish Association of Security Companies), APROSER (Professional Association of Private Security Services Companies) and ASEPAL (Association of Personal Protective Equipment Companies) represented by their three vice-presidents.

Furthermore, for the second consecutive year, SICUR LIVEConnect will hybridise the event, providing its members with the chance to connect, exchange information, hold meetings, and showcase the sector's products and services.
