"The result of our participation in SICUR 2026 was extremely positive and exceeded our initial expectations," says Luis Emilio Fernández Ibáñez, Sales Director for Spain at Paredes Seguridad. "We have not seen an edition with this level of activity or business opportunity generation since before the pandemic". During the four days of the fair, "our stand hosted approximately 600 to 800 professional visitors, and we held over 120 business meetings".

How would you rate your participation in the latest edition of the International Security Exhibition, organised by IFEMA MADRID?

The result of our participation in SICUR 2026 was extremely positive and exceeded our initial expectations. We had not experienced an edition with such a high level of activity and business opportunity generation since before the pandemic. The fair allowed us to strengthen our relationships with our distribution network, present our new products, and maintain direct contact with professionals in the sector.

What were the final figures at your stand?

During the four days of the fair, our stand hosted approximately 600 to 800 professional visitors. These included specialised Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) distributors, purchasing managers from industrial companies, Workplace Safety technicians, and occupational safety managers, as well as international distributors. Beyond the numbers, the most relevant aspect was the high quality of the professional profile of the visitors.

How did the business meetings progress?

The team held over 120 business meetings, many of which were pre-scheduled with strategic distributors and clients. These were joined by other meetings that arose spontaneously during the fair. Having a large team at the stand allowed us to efficiently handle both scheduled meetings and new opportunities as they arose.

What other activities were on your agenda during the fair?

During SICUR, we carried out an intensive agenda of business meetings, product presentations, and training sessions on the technical characteristics of our ranges. In addition, we moved part of our laboratory to the stand to perform live resistance tests, material tests, and footwear certifications, which allowed us to explain the technical value of our protection solutions in a practical way.

What proposals and innovations did you present at the exhibition?

We presented the latest developments in our range of safety footwear, with a special focus on lightness, ergonomics, and comfort. Among the innovations, the FLY model, designed to offer exceptional lightness and flexibility, stood out. We also showcased progress on the Labogenero project, aimed at developing specific lasts for the female foot, and the new app developed in collaboration with the Institute of Biomechanics of Valencia (IBV) to analyse footprints and recommend suitable insoles.

How would you summarise the benefits of your participation in SICUR?

SICUR is a key meeting point for strengthening relationships with our network of distributors and bringing innovation closer to the professionals who use our products. The fair allows us to generate new business opportunities, both nationally and internationally, gain direct feedback from the sector, and continue to drive the presence of Paredes Seguridad in professional environments where protection and comfort are essential.
