Interview with Laura Alcázar Moratilla, Sales Director for Spain and Portugal at IQSIGHT.

"Our participation in SICUR 2026 was a fundamental strategic milestone for the company, as it served as the official stage for the presentation and launch of the new IQSIGHT brand (evolution of Bosch Video Systems) in the security and safety market in the Iberian Peninsula.

How has IQSIGHT transformed traditional video surveillance?

IQSIGHT, an evolution of Bosch Video Systems, is a company focused on the "Intelligence-First" concept. This means that we transform traditional passive video surveillance into real-time proactive visual intelligence. Rather than simply recording images for review after an incident, our AI-based approach delivers at the edge (directly on camera) enables the following: early detection and warning, identifying risks, patterns of behaviour and threats before they escalate; the elimination of blind spots, optimising coverage and analytical accuracy; and more efficient operations, filtering out false alarms and providing security teams with actionable data to make quick, coordinated decisions.

What products does your brand currently offer?

Although the brand has been refreshed, we maintain the Bosch Video Systems legacy of engineering and hardware quality. Our catalogue includes the following products. Firstly, smart cameras (fixed, mobile and specialised): rugged devices designed to withstand extreme weather, with unique technologies such as starlight X and HDR X for optimal image quality in very low light conditions. Secondly, advanced video analytics (IVA Pro - Intelligent Video Analytics Pro) that turn cameras into sensors capable of counting people, classifying vehicles, detecting wrong direction or identifying specific incidents (such as firearm detection or flooding) and new hybrid contextual analytics.

Thirdly, IQSIGHT Data Fusion: a cloud-based solution that converts unstructured raw video data into organised datasets, facilitating the analysis of traffic, people flows and urban safety. And fourthly, BVMS (Bosch Video Management System): our video management platform, renowned for decades in the industry for maintaining business continuity and operational resilience, even in the event of recording server failure.

What other areas related to video surveillance, cybersecurity, AI and sustainability do you consider relevant?

For IQSIGHT, these would be the most relevant aspects from our point of view. In the realm of cybersecurity and privacy by design (PbD), cameras are no longer just optical, they are connected IoT devices. It is vital that they have rigorous certifications (such as UL or IEC 62443 standards) and secure physical elements (such as the TPM cryptoprocessor) to protect data from potential cyber-attacks.

In terms of generative AI and contextual reasoning, the advent of solutions such as IVA Pro Context (with GenAI) allows the system to understand the why of events and not just the what, allowing it to interact with the security system through natural language commands.

And on sustainability and resilience, hardware must be durable to reduce environmental impact and maintenance costs, relying on Over-The-Air upgrades to extend the lifetime of systems.

How would you define the results of your company's participation in SICUR 2026?

Our participation at SICUR 2026 was a fundamental strategic milestone for the company, as it served as the official stage for the presentation and launch of the new IQSIGHT brand in the security and safety market in the Iberian Peninsula. During the show we were able to explain directly to visitors the transition from Bosch Video Systems to IQSIGHT, demonstrating that we have retained our usual standard of engineering and confidence, with an Intelligence-First approach. In addition, we were able to establish direct contact with decision-makers in critical sectors. Finally, the show allowed us to take the pulse of current market needs, validating our commitment to hybrid AI (on-site and cloud) in the face of today's regulatory and operational challenges.
