Raúl Flores (Incipresa): SICUR, the leading international event for safety and emergencies
One of the current challenges facing the emergency services sector is the integration of new, sustainable and highly fire-resistant materials into the manufacture of fire engines, according to Raúl Flores, Commercial Director of Incipresa S.A.U. Indeed, his company is spearheading this innovation through the CIES (Spanish acronym for Eco-Sustainable Fire-Retardant Bodywork) project, an initiative supported by ICEX and European funds. Flores also refers to his company’s participation in SICUR and states that the trade fair is “Spain’s leading international event for the security and emergency services sector”.
Incipresa has extensive experience in providing solutions for emergencies. What products do you put on the market?
At Incipresa, our key contribution to safety and security lies in equipping emergency services personnel with the most advanced and reliable tools on the market. We are primarily specialized in the design, manufacture and sale of fire-fighting vehicles and specialised units for different rescue operations, all designed to maximise the effectiveness of firefighters in critical situations.
We understand that every second counts in an emergency and the equipment must not fail; that is why we not only supply high-performance vehicles, but also provide extrication tools from the prestigious Holmatro brand, leaders in rescue technology. We are committed to ensuring that those who protect us have access to the safest, most ergonomic and most efficient equipment to save lives and protect the environment, with full operational reliability.
What business areas does the company cover?
Our operations are organised into three main business lines, which provide a comprehensive solution for emergency services. Firstly, vehicle manufacturing: we design fire engines, rescue vehicles and forestry vehicles tailored to each customer’s specific needs. Secondly, the supply of high-quality equipment, in particular rescue tools and fire-fighting equipment.
And finally, but of vital importance, our after-sales service, which we have considerably reinforced recently. We have strengthened this strategic pillar by opening a new, state-of-the-art repair and maintenance shop in Madrid. This facility enables us to offer a more responsive, personalised and specialised technical service, ensuring that both our customers’ vehicles and equipment are always in optimum working order, thereby extending their service life and ensuring their reliability.
What role does the introduction of new materials play in your production?
One aspect that we consider to be of vital importance in the emergency services sector today is the incorporation of new, sustainable and highly fire-resistant materials into the manufacture of fire engines. At Incipresa, we are spearheading this innovation through our CIES Project (Eco-Sustainable Fire-Retardant Bodywork), an R&D&I initiative supported by ICEX and European funds.
This pioneering project enables us to use 3D printing technology with recycled plastics – including fishing nets recovered from the sea – to create structural components and bodywork. The result is lighter vehicles with excellent mechanical and fire-resistant properties, which optimise firefighters’ operational performance and drastically reduce the carbon footprint. We firmly believe that the future of security lies in combining the highest levels of protection and operational effectiveness with an unwavering commitment to sustainability and the environment.
What are the implications for FORSA in SMART SICUR?
For Incipresa, attending SICUR is absolutely vital. It is Spain’s leading international event for the security and emergency services sector, and provides an unbeatable platform for showcasing our latest technological innovations. Taking part in this event enables us to gauge the market, identify emerging trends and hear first-hand about the real needs of fire brigades and civil protection services.
Furthermore, SICUR is an exceptional forum for generating strategic synergies, strengthening relationships with our international suppliers and opening up new business opportunities. Sharing knowledge with other professionals and experts in the sector enriches our corporate vision, driving us to continue improving our R&D&I processes in order to offer increasingly effective solutions tailored to the current challenges of comprehensive security.
