Technology and digitalisation are reducing the administrative workload of health and safety professionals, allowing them to devote more time to exploring new processes and ways of protecting workers, taking into account their gender, age and individual characteristics.

What tools does Prolians Metalco offer to facilitate risk management and safety in companies and organisations?
For over ten years, at Prolians Metalco we have been committed to supporting health and safety departments by providing them with tools to streamline the management of these areas through the digitalisation of many day-to-day tasks, offering advice on products and their maintenance, and striving to provide comprehensive solutions to protect people from physical and psychosocial risks.
What products and services are offered in this field?
We stock a wide range of products to protect workers from any risk in any sector. In terms of services, I would highlight, among others, the personalised catalogue for each client, which includes digital management of proof of delivery for PPE (personal protective equipment) and a module for assessing the comfort of the PPE and workwear we have provided, tailored to each job and requirement. This gives us enough information to decide whether to continue using the current PPE and workwear, or to change course and opt for alternatives that are better suited to the specific conditions in terms of temperature, movement and type of work.
We have smart PPE that prevents accidents involving being collisions, warns you before you get a shock from the temperatures you’re exposed to, helps prevent musculoskeletal disorders, and features smart insoles for any medical conditions or indicate which footwear is best suited to each worker’s feet.
What impact is technology having on the work of security professionals?
There is no doubt that digitalisation, technology and applications designed and developed to minimise administrative tasks are, and will continue to be, important in ensuring that leading health and safety professionals have more time to explore new processes and ways of protecting workers, taking into account their gender, age and individual characteristics.
How significant was your participation in SICUR 2026, and how has it helped you grow your business and expand your knowledge of the sector?
SICUR 2026 was one of the best editions of the trade fair I can remember, both in terms of visitor numbers and the quality of those visitors. We were able to showcase our latest developments, some of which were recognised by the competition as innovative services through awards; for example, the psychosocial risk assessment tool and the comfort measurement tool.
