This new fabric has a chemical flame retardant finish and was developed in close collaboration with CORDURA^®fabric, a global market leader in textile durability utilizing CORDURA® NYCO fabric technology for long-lasting performance. With its broad range of multifunctional protection, Flametougher 280AS offers durable performance and versatility for garments that can be worn in a wide variety of different environments.

Certified to relevant flame retardant, antistatic, chemical splash and electric arc requirements, it’s ideal for refineries and other industries that demand multi-norm fabrics with both flame retardant and antistatic properties. Highly practical, Flametougher 280AS has excellent resistance to abrasion and high temperature wash performance that can help extend the lifetime of a garment.

And, with abrasion resistance of 85,000 rubs minimum (12kPa), this is truly a hard-wearing and hard-working fabric developed specifically for today’s multipurpose protective garment requirements.
