International Security Exhibition reaffirms role as benchmark platform amidst rising demand for comprehensive digital protection (24–27 February)

In a landscape where threats transcend physical barriers to breach networks, SICUR, the International Security Exhibition organised by IFEMA MADRID, announces the return of SICUR CYBER. This event is key to understanding, anticipating, and mitigating the risks that define modern vulnerability. This announcement comes three months prior to SICUR 2026. In its 25th edition and reflecting the sector's dynamism and potential, the event has already reached full capacity for its exhibition space.

From 24 to 27 February 2026, SICUR will strengthen its focus on cybersecurity, and experts in the field will explore the convergence between physical and digital security, addressing the need for organisations to adopt a unified vision to manage hybrid risks. Sessions will examine the impact of systems integration, the need to anticipate increasingly sophisticated threats, and the role of technology as a facilitator of more resilient security models.

A strategic programme segment will focus on the regulatory framework, emphasising the transposition of the NIS2 and CER Directives. These are key to strengthening the resilience of critical infrastructures and essential services throughout the European Union. This regulatory perspective will be complemented by discussions linked to the National Security Scheme, focusing on devices such as IP cameras and access control systems, where proper governance is critical to minimising vulnerabilities.

SICUR CYBER will also dedicate spaces to innovation, financing, and public support for security projects, which are essential for driving the technological modernisation of companies and administrations. The event will also address the critical importance of cybersecurity management in physical security systems, an area where technological dependence is growing exponentially. Additionally, the National Cybersecurity Forum will provide an institutional and strategic vision of the challenges and opportunities facing the Spanish ecosystem.

Given the rapid advancement of Artificial Intelligence, a significant part of the programme will be devoted to AI's role as the new "corporate guardian," analysing how it is transforming threat detection, process automation, and decision-making. The programme will also cover the evolution of security engineering, crucial for shifting from a reactive approach to a model based on preventive control and the total convergence of disciplines. This will be accompanied by an analysis of the current state of cybercrime, a constantly evolving global phenomenon demanding coordinated and multidisciplinary strategies.

SICUR CYBER, developed in collaboration with Editorial Borrmart's specialist publications Red Seguridad and Securitecnia, will reserve a space for sharing success stories and technological solutions. This offers companies the opportunity to showcase innovations applied to the field of security and facilitates the exchange of experiences between professionals.

With this cross-cutting approach, SICUR 2026 reaffirms its role as the leading reference platform for comprehensive security, promoting an environment where collaboration between industry, administrations, and the expert community becomes a fundamental element in addressing future challenges.
