José Antonio Novo: "At SICUR 2026 we presented Casnova, the business group formed by Casmar and Desico”
José Antonio Novo, the Deputy Director of Casmar, expressed his satisfaction with the company's participation in SICUR 2026. "This year we introduced Casnova, the business group that brings together Casmar and Desico. This was a major milestone for us and the reception was overwhelmingly positive, sparking significant interest and creating new business opportunities. As he explained, "the stand remained highly active throughout the fair, hosting approximately 750 visitors from across the industry: end users, installers, integrators, sector authorities, and suppliers; this reflects the intense interest generated by this new chapter for the group".
What did Casmar's presence at SICUR 2026 mean for the company?
This year at SICUR 2026 we made our official debut as Casnova, the business group comprising Casmar and Desico. This was a pivotal step for us and the reception was overwhelmingly positive, generating significant interest and new business opportunities. This synergy allows us to offer more comprehensive solutions and to approach projects with a broader industry perspective.
The stand remained highly active throughout the fair, hosting approximately 750 visitors from across the industry: end users, installers, integrators, sector authorities, and suppliers; this reflects the intense interest generated by this new phase of the group.
What products and innovations did you showcase at the fair?
At SICUR 2026 we showcased our solutions and brands through the new version of "Casmar City", an interactive tool where visitors could navigate through various industry sectors (verticals) in a virtual city environment. This provided an intuitive and educational way to learn about our solutions and the brands that support them. The reception was excellent, as it allows the full scope of our value proposition to be understood at a glance.
We also featured DJI's Dock 3 autonomous drone on display. This solution is integrated into our Vigiplus PSIM, allowing for real-time aerial surveillance with centralised management from the Control Centre. For us, this is a significant advancement, as we recently became official distributors for the brand and can now incorporate this technology into our portfolio.
In addition, we presented the new version and interface of the Vigiplus 11 integration software and the Desico maintenance module. This integrated management system allows for the coordination and supervision of multiple security systems from a single control hub, optimising operations and improving overall efficiency.
Together, all these solutions point toward our future direction: integrating technology, expertise, and a global vision to offer the most complete answers to the industry.
What aspects would you particularly highlight about your participation in the Exhibition?
One of the highlights was our bread tastings organised in collaboration with Turris, where we symbolically explained the process of creating the group. We wanted to convey that, much like artisanal bread, uniting two businesses requires time, dedication and care. It was a unique and personal way to explain who we are now and where we are heading.
The fair gave us the opportunity to showcase everything that the Casnova Group has to offer the sector. We hope that this participation will serve to demonstrate our capacity for innovation and our ability to offer more comprehensive solutions, as well as building new connections and opening doors for collaborative projects that add value to our clients and the whole sector.
