SICUR 2026 is committed to attracting young talent and promoting professional training with SICUR Academia
On Friday 27 February, the International Security Exhibition at IFEMA MADRID will offer a specific environment for training and job opportunities.
As part of the 25th edition of SICUR, the International Security Exhibition to be held from 24 to 27 February at IFEMA MADRID, SICUR Academia will be incorporated as a new highlight. This space, dedicated to promoting technical specialisation and attracting young talent in the integrated security sector, will be held on the last day of the exhibition, on Friday 27 February.
The SICUR Academia 2026 programme offers a calendar of activities and presentations aimed at professionals, companies and young people interested in private and public security, cybersecurity and emergencies, with a practical approach adapted to current challenges.
Among the activities, the round table “How to spread the security culture to reach young talent?”,with the participation of Alejandra Moreno García and Alejandro López Palma, president and vice-president of INDESEC (Association of Young People in Intelligence, Defence and Security), will focus on the importance of attracting and training new generations committed to security.
Another of the key interventions will be the presentation of AES FUNDACIÓN - Talento 360º, where Antonio Escamilla, President of AES FUNDACIÓN, and Miguel Ángel Pinero Gordo, Deputy Director General of Centros de FP y Régimen Especial, Juanjo López, ambassador of the AES initiative, and Carlos Caballero, CEO & Founder of Ciberia, will share experiences on comprehensive training and opportunities for young professionals.
The Talent4cyber section will showcase an innovative hackathon on defence and attack in military operations, led by Enrique Pérez de Tena from the Joint Cyberspace Command, offering a window into the future of cybersecurity and its practical application in defence environments.
On the technical side, SICUR Academia includes the presentation of the Intermediate-Level Studies for Security Technicians by María Luz Rodríguez de Llera Tejeda, Director General of Secondary Education, Vocational Training and Special Regime of the Region of Madrid, and Eduardo Cobas, Secretary General of APROSER, as well as a space dedicated to fire protection, a fundamental area that saves lives, by CEPREVEN and TECNIFUEGO.
From the angle of occupational safety, the EXO CORNER space will address the issue of acceptance and use of occupational exoskeletons, with a presentation by Israel Benavides, who will analyse a decade of experience, challenges and opportunities for greater implementation of this technology that revolutionises occupational ergonomics.
Finally, this programme will be rounded off by the activities that exhibiting companies will be organising at their stands, designed and aimed at young people.
With this programme, SICUR Academia is positioned as an essential training hub within SICUR 2026, reaffirming its commitment to professional development, technological innovation and the integration of young talent to strengthen comprehensive security in Spain and Europe.
