The 16th edition of PROMOGIFT, Salón Internacional del Regalo Promocional y Maquinaria para Personalización (International Promotional Gift Trade Fair), organised by IFEMA MADRID, took place from 16 to 18 January and was a resounding success. A total of 6,966 trade professionals (compared to 4,955 registered at the previous edition in 2023) from 34 countries were able to see the offer from 162 companies (12.5% more than last year) from nine countries. The fair occupied 5,215 m2 of exhibition space (a growth of 14.69%). Once again, this record-breaking participation has confirmed that PROMOGIFT is southern Europe's leading Promotional Object and Personalisation Machinery sector trade fair.

The latest innovations from the promotional and advertising gift industry were on display at PROMOGIFT 2024, courtesy of leading firms in this important sector of the economy. These included manufacturers, distributors, importers, and a broad range of professionals, such as advertising and communication agencies, sign writers, graphic artists, and souvenir manufacturers.

The participation figures from PROMOGIFT 2024 are a clear sign that the sector is booming. According to data published by the Association of Importers, Wholesalers and Manufacturers of Promotional Items (AIMFAP), the sector’s business volume totalled more than 2.5 billion euros in 2023.

Both AIMFAP and the Association of Advertising and Promotional Goods Manufacturers and Vendors (FYVAR) - the sector's two main business groups that renewed their traditional support for PROMOGIFT - agree that the situation has certainly improved in Spain, a fact that was evident in the magnificent results of the most recent edition of the Salon Internacional del Regalo Promocional.

AIMFAP chairman Emilio Estellés-Zenón said that “there's no question that PROMOGIFT 2024 was the post-pandemic edition when the fair reestablished itself as a launch pad for 2025, the year when PROMOGIFT will be held jointly with C!print Madrid”.

This was echoed by FYVAR president Gabriel Möese, who said that the “unprecedented success of PROMOGIFT 2024 in terms of companies and visitors alike shows that the promotional gift sector has finally recovered and holding C!Print Madrid jointly with the fair in 2025 will establish PROMOGIFT as the benchmark trade fair for the industry in southern Europe”.

On the other hand, AIMFAP took advantage of its time at PROMOGIFT 2024 to hand out its Awards for Business Excellence and for Innovation, Development and Strategy (IDE) at a ceremony held on 16 January, the first day of the fair. These recognitions are designed to draw attention to commitment and innovation in the promotional gift sector. This time, the awards went to Importaciones Goya and Secaneta, respectively.

In the wake of this successful event, IFEMA MADRID has already started to work on the 17th edition of PROMOGIFT 2025, Salón Internacional del Regalo Promocional y Maquinaria para Personalización (International Promotional Gift Trade Fair) scheduled for 14 to 16 January 2025.

The dates will be shared by PROMOGIFT and C!Print Madrid, an event aimed at trade professionals in the printing, visual communication, and personalisation fields. IFEMA MADRID, which organises PROMOGIFT, and Infopro Digital Trade Shows, which is responsible for C!Print Madrid, have just entered into an agreement whereby, from 2025, both events will take place simultaneously to take advantage of common synergies. However, they will be held in different halls (PROMOGIFT in Hall 12 and C!Print Madrid in Hall 14).
