LOOK Madrid will transform the Pasarela Hair Look catwalk into an international stage for professional hairdressing
Effervescene, the AIPP Awards, the Fígaro Awards and the Alternative Hair Show Extravaganza, coming to Spain for the first time, will headline a programme bringing together some of the most influential events in professional hairdressing
LOOK Madrid 2026 is making hairdressing a key focus of its next edition, with the Pasarela Hair Look catwalk featuring some of the most important events on the national and international hairdressing scene. Taking place at IFEMA MADRID from 13 to 15 November, the trade fair will include three days devoted to creativity, inspiration, training and entertainment, consolidating Madrid’s position as a meeting point for hairdressing professionals.
Pasarela Hair Look will once again be one of the main highlights of LOOK Madrid, with a programme featuring leading attractions such as Effervescene, the AIPP Awards and the Fígaro Awards, as well as the major new addition to this edition: the Alternative Hair Show Extravaganza, being held in Spain for the first time. This unique combination of creativity, technical excellence and talent will establish the trade fair as a leading international platform and an unmissable event for professional hairdressing.
Creativity takes over Pasarela Hair Look
The programme will include the 11th edition of Effervescene, the show created by Mikel Luzea, which is established as one of the major events in creative hairdressing. Returning on 15 November with the theme “Beyond Creativity”, the show invites audiences to explore new ways of viewing the profession and champions creativity as a driving force for evolution, differentiation and growth across the sector. The event will once again bring together leading figures in professional hairdressing, including Rafael Bueno, Pelsynera and Sergi Bancells, who will share their perspectives on innovation, creative identity and the new directions the profession is taking.
Effervescene will also provide the setting for the AIPP Awards, regarded as among the most prestigious international awards in professional hairdressing. The Fígaro Awards, the leading awards in Spanish hairdressing, will take place on 16 November. Held annually, they recognise creativity, innovation and artistic excellence among the sector’s outstanding professionals and collections, bringing together some of the most influential figures in the profession.
Alternative Hair Show Extravaganza comes to Spain for the first time
One of the highlights of this area will be the 43rd edition of the Alternative Hair Show Extravaganza, coming to Spain for the first time through a partnership between IFEMA MADRID and Alternative Hair. With a reputation as one of the most iconic shows in global hairdressing, the event will bring together on 14 November some of the teams and artists who have helped shape the history of this international platform over more than four decades. The event will be led by Tony Rizzo, founder of the Alternative Hair Show, and Anthony Mascolo, president of Alternative Hair and creator of the International Visionary Award. Both have played keys role in the development of artistic hairdressing around the world.
The show will also host the International Visionary Award, a competition bringing together finalists from different countries across the Cut & Colour, Men’s and Avant-Garde categories. It will showcase the creativity, innovation and technical excellence of a new generation of professionals.
The Pasarela Hair Look programme will also include other activities at the trade fair, such as those scheduled for the Main Stage and LOOK Focus, which are accessible with a general LOOK admission ticket. These learning spaces will introduce professional visitors to new techniques, trends, experiences, and business models shaping the industry.
