María Luisa Sicilia and Cristina Galmiche receive the LOOK 2026 Honour Awards
The winners will collect the award at the gala celebrating the 12th edition of the LOOK Awards on 16 June at IFEMA MADRID.
This time, the LOOK 2026 Honor Awards will recognise the excellence of María Luisa Sicilia, a hairdresser with more than five decades of experience, in the Hairdressing category, and Cristina Galmiche, a renowned beautician and entrepreneur, in the Aesthetics category. Both women have made a decisive contribution to the development, projection, and prestige of aesthetics and hairdressing, both nationally and internationally.
The awards will be presented at the 12th LOOK Awards gala on 16 June at IFEMA MADRID. The call for applications in the remaining categories remains open through this link. The deadline is Wednesday, 29 April.
María Luisa Sicilia, Honor Award in the Hairdressing category
Born and based in Valladolid, she has a career spanning over five decades of innovation, art, and commitment in the world of beauty. She has managed up to four hair salons, including the El Corte Inglés salon in her city for 24 years, establishing herself as an undisputed reference in the sector. Her talent and creative vision have led to collaborations with renowned firms, with which she has created exclusive collections and provided training.
Her dedication has earned her international awards and recognition, and she participated in creating a collection that was selected as the cover of Vogue Magazine. She is also an active member of Intercoiffure Mondial and Club Fígaro. She collaborates on television programmes and actively participates in charitable causes alongside organisations such as the Cancer Association, UNICEF, and the Sandra Ibarra Solidarity Foundation, contributing her work and high profile.

Cristina Galmiche, Honor Award in the Aesthetics category
One of the best-known players in the aesthetics sector in Spain, she boasts over 35 years of experience dedicated to skincare and health. Throughout her career, she has developed her own approach that has made her a reference point: a way of understanding aesthetics through knowledge, experience, and respect for the skin.
Creator of the Cristina Galmiche Method, she has built a comprehensive system based on personalisation and in-depth skin work. Specialised in treating problematic skin, particularly acne, she has focused her career on skin types that do not respond to standardised protocols. Understands her work uniquely, recognising that each skin type is different and requires tailored treatment to restore balance and long-term health.
Far from fleeting trends, Cristina Galmiche advocates for an honest and rigorous aesthetic, reviving the value of artisanal work and integrating it with innovation in cosmetology. The result is a bespoke aesthetic in which each treatment is unique.
The LOOK Awards are held annually to highlight LOOK Madrid's contribution to the development of hairdressing and aesthetics, with the next edition scheduled for 13 to 15 November 2026 at IFEMA MADRID.
