The Best of the Countryside in the City: EXPO SAGRIS Celebrated Its First Edition
EXPO SAGRIS has established itself as a new benchmark for the agri-food sector in Spain. The first edition of the Agriculture and Livestock Exhibition, held from 6 to 8 November 2025 at IFEMA MADRID, concluded with outstanding results: more than 6,000 visitors among families, young people, students, industry professionals, co-operatives and the general public, and a programme featuring more than 200 activities designed to bring the reality of the countryside closer to citizens.
With a cross-cutting approach based on the pillars of Land, Technology and People, EXPO SAGRIS offered a comprehensive view of today’s agri-food sector through its thematic areas:
- Youth Square / Educational Classroom, aimed at students and emerging talent interested in agriculture and livestock farming.
- Technology Square, featuring demonstrations of innovation applied to the countryside: advanced machinery, precision agriculture and digital solutions.
- Entrepreneurship and Production Square, with practical workshops focused on rural entrepreneurship and agri-food activities.
- Livestock Square, dedicated to livestock production and its role in the food chain.
The event was supported by key stakeholders in the sector. The Ministry of Agriculture, Fisheries and Food acted as the main sponsor. In addition, Cajamar sponsored the VIP lounge and McDonald’s sponsored the auditorium, reflecting a commitment to bringing together companies and institutions dedicated to rural development.
EXPO SAGRIS has established itself as a platform for awareness, education, innovation and networking, open to professionals, students, families and the general public, with the aim of highlighting agriculture and livestock farming and recognising their essential role in the country’s present and future.
