Semana de la Educación (Education Week) was packed with guidance, innovation, and the diversity of study centres
A total of 124,867 visitors attended this major educational event to discover the new academic offerings from over 150 organisations.
The 2026 edition of Semana de la Educación (Education Week) ended after welcoming more than 150 schools and colleges, universities, institutions, and training organisations. From 11 to 15 March, Halls 12 and 14 at IFEMA MADRID attracted a total of 124,867 visitors, including students, teachers, families, and sector professionals, among them more than 2,000 visiting groups from schools and colleges.
Made up of the fairs AULA, School Days, the Higher Education and Ongoing Training Fair, and DIGIeLEARNING, Semana de la Educación (Education Week) was also attended by numerous public administrations and bodies, with several ministries — including Education, Vocational Training and Sport; Science, Innovation and Universities; Defence; Labour and Social Economy; and Equality, as well as the Community of Madrid and organisations linked to employment, guidance and public services, all of which reinforced the strategic nature of the event.
AULA, a real map of academic decisions alongside Schools Day, and Higher Education and Ongoing Training Fair
Throughout the event, AULA was once again at the centre of Semana de la Educación (Education Week), as a venue where real decisions about the future are made. Public and private universities, vocational training centres and specialised bodies presented proposals aligned with the job market, and engaged attendees with new qualifications, emerging profiles and less well-known sectors, all with high potential.
The unique value proposition lies in the direct experience. Visitors were able to interact with professionals to become familiar with technical, digital, and industrial professions that play a key role in the current context. At the same time, the guidance area of the fair offered personalised advice and practical tools that have helped students and families focus their decision-making.
Meanwhile, the Higher Education and Ongoing Training Fair has brought together proposals aimed at specialisation, professional reorientation, and skills updating, with programmes adapted to the new needs of the work environment and the growing demand for lifelong learning. Schools Day, also supported families in their first educational decisions.
A variety of knowledge spaces were included, with more than 70 activities, such as the AULA Forum, which featured sessions on skills, employability and educational reflection; the Speaker’s Corner, delivering practical workshops, applied dynamics and orientation activities; and the Stage, with technological demonstrations and immersive experiences.
During the weekend, the spotlight was on families and future students, who came out in large numbers to gather information, have their questions answered, and learn first-hand about the wide range of professional and academic offerings available.
DIGIeLEARNING, educational innovation in a digital key
Within the framework of Semana de la Educación (Education Week), professional visitors found DIGIeLEARNING to be a strategic space to address the educational transformation driven by technology. For the second time, the fair showcased e-learning solutions, artificial intelligence applied to learning, training platforms and digital methodologies by leading companies in educational innovation.
Likewise, the Campus DIGIeLEARNING at the fair provided a programme of specialised talks with industry experts, who addressed the new trends, tools and digital skills that are redefining learning and training models.
Confirming its position as the benchmark event for education in Spain, the next edition of the Semana de la Educación (Education Week) will be held from 17 to 21 February 2027 at IFEMA MADRID.
