The Government of Maranhão will once again participate in the largest international fruit trade fair, Fruit Attraction 2025. The event will take place in São Paulo (SP), at the São Paulo Expo Convention Center, between March 25th and 27th, from 10 am to 6 pm, bringing together more than 400 national and international exhibiting brands, as well as entrepreneurs and investors from the fruit sector worldwide.

At the event, the delegation from Maranhão will have a booth where they will present the state's fruit-growing potential, highlighting the diversity of crops and the favorable conditions for the development of fruit farming in Maranhão, such as its vast territorial extension and natural resources. They will also present the state's production hubs, the availability of areas for investment, tax benefits and incentives, showcasing opportunities and the great business potential.

The booth's program will include negotiation tables, a strategic space for debates and networking between technicians and producers from Maranhão with investors and representatives of the sector. In addition, visitors will be able to see and taste fruits grown in the state, as well as derived products such as jams and artisanal chocolates.

According to the Secretary of Agriculture and Livestock of the State of Maranhão, Flávio Viana, Maranhão's participation in Fruit Attraction will bring greater value to the state's fruit farming chain. "Maranhão's participation in Fruit Attraction is a crucial moment to value the work of many farmers and to engage in dialogue with producers and entrepreneurs from around the world, with the goal of showcasing our potential and attracting investments to strengthen and boost this sector," he stated.

The booth will be coordinated by the State Secretariat of Agriculture and Livestock (Sagrima) and will have the partnership of the State Agency for Agricultural Research and Rural Extension of Maranhão (Agerp), the State Agency for Agricultural Defense of Maranhão (AGED), the State Secretariat for the Environment and Natural Resources (SEMA), the Maranhão Institute of Socioeconomic and Cartographic Studies (IMESC) and the State University of Maranhão (UEMA).

Maranhão's participation in Fruit Attraction 2025 aims to present the state as a potential fruit-growing hub in the country, seeking to establish commercial partnerships and secure national and international investments for the Maranhão fruit sector.

The first edition of Fruit Attraction São Paulo took place between April 16th and 18th, 2024, bringing together 300 exhibiting brands and attracting 12,000 visitors from over 45 countries and 8 Brazilian states. This year, the event aims to bring together even more partners and visitors.
