Sebrae's "DNA" is supporting micro and small business owners and entrepreneurs, and in agriculture, obviously, it's no different. At Fruit Attraction São Paulo 2025, Sebrae, the event's sponsor, brought together more than 50 small to medium-sized Brazilian fruit producers, both independent and affiliated with cooperatives.
At the opening of the event, Sebrae's competitiveness analyst, Victor Ferreira, highlighted that Fruit Attraction São Paulo plays a crucial role in serving as a hub for the visibility and commercialization of Brazilian fruits to the world.
“And here at our booth, in partnership with the main producing states – Pernambuco, Bahia, Rio Grande do Norte, São Paulo, Goiás, Maranhão, Minas Gerais – we present the diversity of national fruit production, from the most traditional species – grapes, mangoes, melons, citrus fruits, cashews, among others – to more exotic varieties such as baru, a typical fruit of the Cerrado,” emphasizes Ferreira.
According to him, the interest in and demand for baru nuts is precisely what has been a pleasant surprise at the fair. "A cooperative from Goiás, for example, had four pre-scheduled meetings with international buyers, a number that jumped to more than ten during the event, particularly from European countries," he rejoices.
“Connecting producers with potential customers, bringing family farming closer to markets is fundamentally our purpose, and Fruit Attraction São Paulo has been providing us with this journey of generating opportunities and business.”
In conclusion, Ferreira emphasizes that the preliminary results being obtained at the fair's business roundtables already cover the investment made by Sebrae in participating in the event. "And this is just the beginning, because many deals start here and are closed in the following weeks," he concludes.
