It coincides with the first International Symposium and Exhibition of Hydro-Environmental Sensors and Software, HydroSenSoft

IFEMA is committed to a strategic sector in Spain, the water industry, offering a commercial and business space with the new Trade Fair for Innovative Water Management Solutions, SIGA, which takes place between 28 February and 3 March 2017 in Hall 3 of Feria de Madrid, featuring 61 direct exhibitors and 94 represented companies from 14 countries, and 117 brands from 16 countries. SIGA will coincide with the first International Symposium and Exhibition for Hydro-Environmental Sensors and Software, organised jointly by IFEMA and IAHR (an English abbreviation standing for International Association for Hydro Environment Engineering and Research).

SIGA offers a top-tier business platform for the Spanish water industry, whose largest companies in comprehensive water cycle management are present worldwide, as well as for its water supply, sanitation and reuse services to more than 100 million people throughout the world.

Equipment supply companies, manufacturers, importers, distributors, exporters and water management agencies will be showcasing the innovative and highly competitive potential of this sector. SIGA offers a complete panoramic view of the water industry, including survey and extraction; desalination, treatment and supply; purification and reuse of water; environmental engineering; infrastructure and civil works for water; measuring, monitoring and control, analysis and quality; valves, pumps and geothermal technology; irrigation technology; points of use; science and technology transfer, and other services and facilities for the water sector.

A group of professional visitors will be present at SIGA from the comprehensive solutions for urban water supply, sanitation and reuse services sector, including officials and technicians from Spanish and foreign public administrations associated with the public service for water supply and sanitation, and professionals dedicated to the collection, treatment, distribution and purification of water and its environmental and urban impact (wholesalers, suppliers and agents, installers…).

The event is also being supported by the main business organisations involved in this sector of the economy: the Spanish Association of Water Supply and Sanitation, AEAS; the Spanish Association for Desalination and Reuse, AEDYR; the Spanish Association of Urban Water Service Agents, AGA; the Spanish Association of Water Technology Companies, ASAGUA; the Spanish Company for Sustainable Reuse of Water, ASERSA; FLUIDEX, Equipment for Fluid Handling; the Iberian Association of Trenchless Technology, IBSTT; the Association of Construction Companies and Infrastructure Concessionaires, SEOPAN; ANAIP/ASETUB the Spanish Association of Industrial Plastics/Plastic Piping Sector Group; the Spanish Association of Engineering, Consultancy and Technological Service Companies, TECNIBERIA; the Association for the Defence of Water Quality, ADECAGUA, and the Spanish Technological Water Platform, PTEA.

The Innovation Conference, sponsored by ACCIONA AGUA, AQUALIA and CANAL DE ISABEL II, which will take place between 1-2 March, in Hall 3 of Feria de Madrid. These conferences will touch on issues such as –on 1 March- how new technology is applied to intelligent fault detection and improvement systems and the improvement of water quality control, innovative tools for a smart and sustainable service and innovation in equipment and technology for purification and reuse. On 2 March, topics including the availability of renewable energy integrated into purification plants and innovation for reducing energy dependency will be covered.

SIGA has also set up an area called Speaker's Corner in Hall 3 of Feria de Madrid, so that participating companies can give their presentations throughout the event's four day duration.

. HydroSenSoft 2017

The other event coinciding with SIGA, the first International Symposium and Exhibition for Hydro-Environmental Sensors and Software, HydroSenSoft 2017, organised by IFEMA and IAHR –International Association for Hydro Environment Engineering and Research- combines an exhibition area with a programme of professional conferences, which will bring experts from around the world together to discuss these matters.

The HydroSenSoft Symposium will take place between 28 February and 3 March, held at the Southern Convention Centre at the IFEMA trade fair premises (Floors -1 and -2, of the Office Building). The event will bring together users, researchers and promoters involved in the sectors of new technology, software, sensors and hydro-environmental instruments for the collection, processing, analysis and use of data for a proper understanding of the water environment.

In addition to HydroSenSoft, SIGA 2017 is being held jointly with the first edition of the Trade Fair for Technology and Innovation for Swimming Installations, TECNOVA PISCINAS, and the trade fairs CLIMATIZACIÓN & REFRIGERACION and GENERA, making the most of shared synergies.
