Both fairs have been postponed until 14, 15 and 16 September 2021

• During the three-day fair, Madrid will be the capital of digital printing, visual communication and promotional gifts • Holding both these fairs together will make this a great business opportunity for trade professionals in related sectors

In response to the second wave of COVID-19 in Spain, and after intense discussions with all parties involved, the organising committees of PROMOGIFT, International Trade Fair for Promotional Gifts and Personalisation Equipment, DIGICOM the Digital Printing and Visual Communication Fair, and the IFEMA organisation, have decided to hold both events simultaneously to create these sectors’ largest event in Spain, taking advantage of common synergies.

PROMOGIFT and DIGICOM have been postponed and will take place from 14 to 16 September 2021. The events will support the interests of promotional gift, digital printing and visual communication companies by offering a meeting that will host more than 550 exhibitors, 700 brands and more than 12,000 visitors. It will be the leading trade show for the promotional article, digital printing and visual communication sector in the country.

Based on these figures, the organising committees expect both fairs to be benchmarks in the market, driving the recovery of the participating sectors and the economic growth of the country.

Leading trade shows for the sector

Over the years, PROMOGIFT has become the largest business platform for the ATO (Advertising Through Object) sector in the Iberian Peninsula and the benchmark fair for this industry in southern Europe. It has achieved this with support from the leading companies in this financial segment and the commitment of their associations - the Association of Importers, Wholesalers and Manufacturers of Promotional Items (AIMFAP), and the Association of Manufacturers and Sellers of Promotional and Advertising Items (FYVAR). The last edition in January 2020 was a resounding success, with 486 exhibiting companies and brands from 26 countries and 6,343 trade visitors representing 3,235 companies from 34 countries.

DIGICOM, the benchmark fair for the graphic industry and visual communication in the Iberian Peninsula, organised by IFEMA in collaboration with The eWorld Team was held for the first time in June 2019. Its successful début attracted 90 exhibitors and 300 brands, and was visited by 4,518 professionals.

IFEMA, a safe space

The two events will be held in a safe environment equipped with a wide range of hygienic-sanitary measures and security protocols that IFEMA has implemented for events on its sites with full guarantees.

The Community of Madrid has awarded IFEMA the Madrid Guarantee seal Madrid guarantee in recognition of the its adoption of the mandatory standards imposed in the “new normal” due to COVID-19, and the protocols it has created. IFEMA has also been awarded the 'Safe Travels' seal of approval 'Safe Travels' from the World Travel & Tourism Council (WTTC) for the Convention, Meeting and Event Centres industry, as a result of its protocols and actions taken to resume activity with a safe, healthy and responsible reopening. Added to this is the certification granted by AENOR for its anti-COVID-19 measures.

These certificates recognise the importance of adopting measures and protocols to guarantee the safety and mobility of participants at the events, as well as the transmission of information to all of them, regarding access and capacity control measures, physical distancing and hygiene and cleaning measures; in addition to the redesign of events, with the combination of face-to-face and hybrid formats, as essential provisions for the successful running of fairs and congresses.
