The Malaga-based meat company will present its new animal welfare certification at Meat Attraction, the IAWS seal, an added value that shows the company's commitment to more ethical and sustainable food.

With two centuries of history, the Malaga-based company Prolongo-Faccsa is a clear reference in the Andalusian meat industry, highlighting its capacity to adapt to the needs of the market throughout its history. The company from Malaga is currently involved in the circular economy project which fights against the scarcity of resources, promoting the reuse of all waste and its minimum environmental impact.

This is precisely the line with which Prolongo-Faccsa is returning to the Meat Attraction fair, where it will be presenting all its new products this week. The meat company will take advantage of this international event to present its new animal welfare certification, an added value that shows the Malaga firm's commitment to more ethical and sustainable food. The IAWS seal, created by Interporc, guarantees animal welfare in all the links of the Prolongo processing chain. Since last November, the company has been applying this certification in the production of two of its products (Malaga salchichón and fuet extra), although the aim is to extend this certification to the whole of its wide range of products.

The company has always been aware of the importance of respecting and conserving the environment and we work every day to make these values a reality. For this reason, animal welfare is a branch of the sustainability project that the company focuses on for the future, in line with the fulfilment of the SDG goals set by the 2030 agenda. On the other hand, the company from Malaga also wants to present its 'Cuatripack' range at the Fair, a new format of 4 x 30 grams for the commercialisation of its products. In Prolongo, they are aware that consumers are becoming increasingly more practical when it comes to consuming our products and this new format responds to this need.

Faccsa, as a marketer of fresh and frozen pork, has participated in the fair from the very beginning. In this fourth edition, the company wants to take advantage of the fact that one of this year's guest countries is Japan, as for Faccsa it is one of the countries where it exports most pork. The company, in short, continues to be committed to Meat Attraction thanks to the continuous growth of this fair since the beginning. You can find Prolongo-Faccsa at stand 4B19.
